I was in Maldives 2 years ago. That’s my baseline for great beaches. It’s like being in a dream.

In the U.S., Siesta Key is the best mainland beach I’ve been to. USVI is really nice too.

was in Spain last year, and rented a boat and went around Mallorca. Best experience ever because of no mosquitoes and warm water.

the Pacific Ocean is really cold. That’s something I didn’t realize. You’re right that the vibe is nice, though.

I haven't been to Maldives or Siesta Key, but have been to Mallorca and it's beautiful. If people want vibes and insanely blue water it's a great choice. I believe I read United is going to have a direct flight there from EWR.

The time to count is embarrassing, but putting that aside, the third place candidate now outperforming the first place candidate in a statistically unprecedented way kinda makes you scratch your head, no? Then when you find out her votes are especially outperforming in DTLA/Skid Row, where tens of thousands of homeless votes are for sale, that at least warrants a little questioning regardless of which team you’re rooting for

No, when you actually consider how mail in ballots (which all the people complaining use to vote) break and the voting patterns in the neighborhoods they come from.

People misunderstand LA for the same reason they don't understand why their views don't dominate in NJ, because they don't break out of their bubble and understand they hold positions held by a small, shrinking minority. In the US, ironically, you can only win the presidency without the support of a majority. Doesn't work that way for mayor.

People complaining that someone who denied that the Sandy Hook mass shooting was real- so deranged that even no one on this board would likely say they believe it- doing poorly in an election in Los Angeles would be like someone questioning why an Ohio State alum isn't mayor of Ann Arbor.

The internet summarized in 2026- guy in NJ telling guy who lives in California and owns a business in LA that people need to break out of their bubble and understand something.

Why would Ca libs go through all of this to block an audit of something they pretend is pristine? The new conspiracy theory is pretending this MIB system isn't rigged. I've not met one person here who doesn't believe it's a farce. Libs included. They just like it that way. My 10 year passed away grandmother in law got a ballot for this election. Actually 3. And voted ;). Can't beat em join em!

I am sure your lived experiences tell you that DTLA and KTown voters would break for Pratt. You don't live in LA. I have probably spent more time there than many Californians. Much like I don't trust people on this board who say they are afraid to walk on Easton Ave past Stuff Yer Face. I wouldn't ask such a person to explain New Brunswick, even though they'd offer a hot take unprompted.

Just like the people on this board who insisted (and still do) that a 3 time loser in NJ was going to win in Newark. And a sex pest or felon was going to win over a charismatic millennial in NYC.

That's a national, maybe even international phenomenon that the US was kind enough to export, invented by 3 year olds and the adult equivalent with a 3 year old brain who says "when I don't win, it's cheating!"

I don’t live in LA but I did for six months two years agreed so I have a little firsthand experience. I work in healthcare/behavioral health. I can assure you I’m as qualified to talk about any of this moreso than a visitor. People here of all political colors are exhausted with the voting process.

Pretending that the voting process is illegitimate for a moment, anyone could file a lawsuit about it.

I've seen lots of lawsuits alleging fraud. The only one I've seen win was in NC. And the guy who did probably supports Pratt.

I have seen many prominent allegations beingf laughed out of court, and most of the judges doing the laughing were appointed by the people doing the complaining. I am sure this time will be different though!

Actually given the law Hair Gel signed, you can't audit the vote or rolls. No why would he do that? There is zero fear of cheating in Ca elections. None. Know plenty of people who filled out ballots of dead people that the state sent to them. Nothing will happen. It's a joke.

If Ron Desantis ran Ca. elections the state would be red. That scares the piss out of libs here. They simply can't have it and will do anything and everything to not allow that. Even using a system that would make one of those banana republic's in Africa jealous.

Election fraud in California can be overcome easily and quickly..
For the LA Mayor storm city hall looking for anyone that looks liberal and make them run for their woke lives.
The Governors primary should be voided and only conservatives allowed to run after the California Capital building
is taken over by Proud boy types and other domestic terrorists fighting for conservative California rule.
The battle cry for both actions can be: "If we don't succored at first, expect a pardon when out trash takes over)

Remember when the GOP lose a race it's fixed against them,
When the Republican candidate wins, can't find a fairer electron than that .

By the way I find this thread amusing, from complaining about NJ Beach tags we move westward so California elections are an issue with a cry for the Florida governor to take over.

Ca pols are committing insurrection against the country every day. Forget storming the capital. Newsom would be safe though. He's never here. I encourage everyone to register to vote in Ca with the link I provided. It's that easy. Not one reasonable person can offer a logical reason other than cheating for the statistical anomaly we've seen take place.

Yet there is tons of videos on YouTube showing people paying homeless on skid row $2-3 to sign a ballot or register under someone else’s name

Why don't you try submitting them to a court?

Last time you were rejected 62 times. But I'm sure this time it could get into the 70s, easy.

Speaking of this, what's going on in Ventnor? I usually walk pretty far down across the border into Ventnor (but not all the way to Margate, admittedly), and I haven't seen a lifeguard there yet this year. The beach was well-populated this past weekend...
I had to look this up because I spent a lot of time in Ventnor and on their beaches as a kid. This from the VCBP page:

The following beaches will be open for Memorial Day weekend, starting, Saturday, May 23, 2026, and will continue to be guarded 7 days per week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Suffolk Ave
  • Dorset Ave
  • New Haven Ave
  • Layfette Ave

Maybe Ventnor lifeguards are tired of getting shot by AC residents walking down the beach?

You picked a winner for a source Musk doesn't care if it;s true as long as it fits what he wants people to think and he knows because of his success in business people will share what he posts without checking the truth or if the source is trustworthy
Yes, a prominent online organization operating under the name "Gay Voices for Trump" (often referred to as "Gays for Trump") was exposed as a complete fraud.
Federal authorities revealed that the political group was entirely fictitious and was weaponized to scam donors out of thousands of dollars.
By mixing conspiracy theories with conservative political commentary through these fake personas, Hall amassed more than 100,000 online followers

So now you will find that every driveway is filled to the brim with cars, and every single street spot within a 10 minute walk of the beach is gone by 10AM on a beach day, if not all weekend come Friday afternoon. People with driveways typically leave that open for late arriving friends/family.
Eh, ran a 5K down in Beach Haven on Sunday and found a parking spot less than 100 feet from the beach at around 9am, then was able to find a spot easily outside the brewery that sponsored the run 1 mile away. LBI seems to be heavily for those staying local at spots.

This is 100% not the case for any beach in Monmouth county besides Maybe Sea Girt/Spring Lake. It would be foolish to even say that out loud about Squan or Belmar, where every close spot is taken by 5PM on Friday for basically the entire weekend.

I've read that the 126 year old # comes from SQL database defaulting to 1/1/1900 for any unknown birthdate. So that's where this comes about and is not sinister at all.
I’m sure you read a lot of things. Why is my years long passed away GMIL getting 3 ballots? One off right? Just lucky? Singular mistake? We were kind enough to fill it out for her lol

Dirty little secret.....

On Thu night or Fri morning, some residents move their cars to the street so that they can have more available spaces on their property

The beach where my hs friend and I hung out was Beach #2 in the lifeguard world - maybe Dover Ave(?), closer to AC than Margate. They were good times!

None of what you posted means anything nor refutes the cheating that's seen on actual video, not to mention statistical anomalies that no one can explain.

Raman has no juice here. None. The few people that know anything about her hate her. She didn't even win her own district and was even tried to recall not long ago lol She even knew she lost. She cried on election night and conceded

There are none so blind then those who will not see.
Refuting the fact of the voter registration rolls heavily favors democratic and sticking to unproven conspiracy theories that fit a political agenda is not going to convince anyone except those thsat don't want to look at the truth of the matter
Just one of the many false claims gets the truth treatment

She might have come in second in her district to Bass, as you implied.
But Raman did come out strong in other areas of the city
>She also dominated the Westwood precinct that includes UCLA, winning 56% of the vote in one precinct, compared with Bass’ 19% and Pratt’s 10%. And in a Los Feliz precinct in her council district, Raman so far has 58% of the vote, far ahead of Bass and Pratt.

Also love the photo you provided, though can't say it means anything of value
But your using it and where it comes from makes me wonder if you're getting vaild information to base your opinions on
a quick check on google found this
>The Daily Mail is widely considered an unreliable source for objective, factual journalism. Major media watchdogs AllSides and fact-checkers consistently classify the publication as highly sensationalized and right-leaning, often prioritizing clickbait and emotional outrage over strict editorial accuracy<

I feel i have backed up my opinion with facts and if they are accepted, fine by me.
If not, that's also fine.
I understand that in life there are those who will see only what they want to see and a convenient lie takes precedence over the facts if the lie fits what they want to believe .
So I'll stop posting facts to convince the unconceivable and just wish them a nice day .
Meaning on this issue, for me it's
