My wife asked me if we were gonna go on our annual Chicago visit over my birthday in AugustI am starting to hate this team.
I have tickets in the yeti yard for St. Louis on July 4 and now I’m kinda meh about it
I said I’d rather visit Rock Island
1 run and 4 hits in Colorado off a starter with an ERA of over 7.
All starters at .247 or lower other than PCA.

I knew it was bad....reading that HOLEY FUCAN SHIDCubs are 7-21 in last 28 games (when Texas snapped the 2nd 10 game winning streak).
Went the last 2 nights here in Denver. This team looks broken. Can not get a hit with people on base to string anything together. Shota pitched great last night, got zero help. Suzuki and Swanson with those contracts are looking worse every day, especially Swanson. Quietest crowds I have heard at Cubs/Rockies games in a long time. Zero energy from the team and crowd.

The wind is blowing out with a trash pitcher on the mound for the Rockies, so, of course it's 1-0 Cubs in the 6th. PCA with a homer, triple, and double in his first 3 ABs. If he hits a single in his next AB, I wonder if a sequential cycle like that has ever been hit? Baseball is full of oddities, so, I assume it has happened.

The Cubs put Daniel Palencia on the 15-day injured list because of right elbow inflammation Tuesday, one day after he struck out the side against the Rockies.

The Cubs put Daniel Palencia on the 15-day injured list because of right elbow inflammation Tuesday, one day after he struck out the side against the Rockies.
Palencia had some soreness, so they didn't pitch him for four days, then after his last appearance they visit him on the mound, let him finish the game, then put him on the IL. Something is wrong with how they handle pitchers.
Thielbar is going to be the next one on the injured list. Something is not right with him this year.
