Well, I don’t disagree with that…as he was an Iowa State player.the Iowa St kid did exactly the same thing and was lifetime banned.

It does look like there's a gathering storm amongst many football programs to not schedule them. Even within the big 12, which has to figure out how to do it. I'm glad there's a storm gathering against them. Interesting that the Georgia AD talked about integrity when he talked about not scheduling them. That coming from an SEC team seems a bit hypocritical.Texas tech athletics needs opponents,... Don't play them.
If I were TT at this point I would dump Sorsby and spend even more money on talent and just bury everyone else in the Big 12 for the next decade and hang like 90 points on K StateBig12 schools should just make a complete farce of the games if they are forced to play TT. Indefinite delay of game penalties, have the defense "take the field" but only following exactly the letter of the law and do absolutely nothing when the ball is snapped, use draftkings symbols on the giant stupid playcall signs on the sideline...etc.
They can't dump him. Can you imagine the emotional damage he would suffer? Best just to give him everything he wants so he doesn't sue.If I were TT at this point I would dump Sorsby and spend even more money on talent and just bury everyone else in the Big 12 for the next deacde and hang like 90 points on K State

Do you think the other schools in the Big 12 Conference will have a choice to not schedule them? I can see the conference stepping in and not allowing that to happen. And I hope your prediction is correct.
Kinda hard to not look like even more of a hypocrite doing that after the AD and mega boosters throwing their full support at him. So many things could be dealt with easier if people could keep their mouths shut.If I were TT at this point I would dump Sorsby and spend even more money on talent and just bury everyone else in the Big 12 for the next decade and hang like 90 points on K State
Can you say pariha?I hope it happens.

lol. You think none of college sports is already hypocritical?Kinda hard to not look like even more of a hypocrite doing that after the AD and mega boosters throwing their full support at him. So many things could be dealt with easier if people could keep their mouths shut.
They will boot the guy. Life will go on.How long til TT claims collusion and sues the schools that won't play them?
We live in crazy times. There is no rule of law.
First three words………."A Texas judge granted Sorsby a preliminary injunction Monday that prevents the NCAA from punishing him for violating its rules its sports gambling."
Can you spell pariah? Can you say pariha?
Can the Big 12 decide if a team is eligible for the playoff?Big 12 AD's are meeting/met to discuss this. After that Big 12 presidents will meet.
Big 12 commish just needs to take a stand and tell TTU that Sorsby can play but the games won't count and TTU is ineligible for post season play.
Can the Big 12 decide if a team is eligible for the playoff?
the courts already got a guy off from gambling on it’s own team. Do they want another ‘L’?
seems to me somebody needs to appeal the most recent ruling.
They can ban them from the B12 championship game, eliminating their autobid path to get in. But they cannot ban them from the playoffs outright. Can the Big 12 decide if a team is eligible for the playoff?

I can imagine a scenario that Texas Tech goes undefeated and still gets left out of the playoff by the selection committee. That would be absolutely glorious. They can ban them from the B12 championship game, eliminating their autobid path to get in. But they cannot ban them from the playoffs outright.
The CFP committee is also its own private company separate from the NCAA and its conferences. They could disqualify Tech via a morality clause if they so chose.
Again, total ********, weak NCAA, this homer TX judge should be impeached and fired and tarred and feathered the old fashioned waySorsby, coveted portal QB won a ruling in a Lubbock court that will allow him to play this year for TT.
Nosh Shannon lost his last season of eligibility after betting once on a women's game
Sorsby bet hundreds of times on college fb including his own team. He continued to bet after securing his 7 million transfer fee to TT.
He went to great lengths to hide his gambling from the NCAA.
Now,a local judge gives him a pass?
Not right.
No student athlete will worry bout rules..no rules.
Suggesting violence. Seems appropriate for your kind.Again, total ********, weak NCAA, this homer TX judge should be impeached and fired and tarred and feathered the old fashioned way
What if the Big 12 says as long as he plays TTU is forfeiting those games (2-10) record? They can ban them from the B12 championship game, eliminating their autobid path to get in. But they cannot ban them from the playoffs outright.

That’s the million dollar question. Or 5 million dollar question in Sorsby’s case. Nobody knows because the conferences have always used the NCAA as their enforcement arm, very rarely have they implemented their own punishments. What if the Big 12 says as long as he plays TTU is forfeiting those games (2-10) record?
Does the Big 12 have more power than the NCAA?
If the appeal for sorsby's reinstatement can't be held until after the season, the lawsuit about potential conference sanctions should also have the same fate. (I'd love to believe the slow wheels of justice will actually prove beneficial for once but I'd also be an idiot to think they will)That’s the million dollar question. Or 5 million dollar question in Sorsby’s case. Nobody knows because the conferences have always used the NCAA as their enforcement arm, very rarely have they implemented their own punishments.
The news I’m seeing is that the Big 12 is 100% implementing some kind of sanctions, or at least talking about it, and Tech will be responding to any sanctions with a lawsuit. So I guess we’re about to find out.
We're talking more about "game integrity" than individual or team integrity. It does look like there's a gathering storm amongst many football programs to not schedule them. Speaking of which, he had a "fumble" against WVU that looked uber-sketchy.If Texas Tech plays Sorsby this fall, imagine his first easy but incomplete pass and the yelling from the stands. "Who did you bet on Sorsby?" "How many points did you take?" "Are we going to cover the spread or not?"
