Does any know the back story on this one? He was one of the ones I did not want to enter the portal after this season. I thought he would be a big part of pitching staff next year.

I was hoping we would get involved with Eli Stephens but since he’s primarily a C and GaT baseball bills itself “Catcher U” I guess the Macon to Atlanta move was pretty much a natural for him, even though he’s from California, and perhaps even pre-arranged.
He was the best smaller school hitter I saw this season, for both average and power and he gave GaT pitching two impressive HRs including one to the backside in a late season matchup.
