Great recruiting coup for Kentucky- BBN is who Hampton wants to play in front of.
Kentucky is bigger than Pope or any Coach.

This is the one that I was looking at last night. I didn't realize that there was 2 different Rivals ratings. It even says it was updated on 6/8/26.

This is about correct - he’s not very efficient. Good mid range but not a 3 point shooter

He is shooting 38% on 3s in EYBL on 21.5 PPG this session.

ESPN did drop him from 12th to 20th, but everyone else is saying top 5 after his great EYBL performance.

If he stays in the 2027 class, he could move up just by Paul Osaruyi looking to reclass to 2026. Osaruyi, like Hampton, was born in early 2008 so he can move up rather easily.

Paper rankings are worthless. Educated guesses at best outside of the rare generational talent.
And educated guesses about future potential (i.e., NBA), not impact on winning CBB games as a freshman. It's mostly projection, right? So, length, athleticism, etc. take precedence over winning or having a knack for making the correct play. If a college program can keep a top ranked guy until his projection starts turning into more production, then they've got something. If it's an OAD situation, then the school usually made a mistake by choosing a top ranked recruit if it costs them a proven top upperclassman they could have had instead.
