It's all because of the field house. If we build it, the better coaches, better decisions, real game plans and schemes, better players, the fans, donations, not icing kickers from 60 yards in hurrricane winds and more will come.

6-6 would be enough to can him but you're right, makes the decision to go another year easier however, you're discounting the extension talk. AT 6-6, keeping another year, you are now in the 'extension possibility' talks area.

It's best to cut bait and move

also disagree on pool of candidates as we simply don't know until we cross that bridge however, pretty sure it's not hard to fight for last place in the BIG
We all know the ceiling of Greg is 6-6…if he is lucky. His Coaching ability is far from P4 standards. Time to move on.

3/5 and 4/8 top b1g recruiting classes so far are pac refugees…the others are the usual suspects…the nuts, maize and cult

Agree
Hes awful, like really bad
He’s a guy you bring in to put out the fire. Hes not the guy you bring in to win. Look at rhe NFL. Arguably one of the worst coaches to ever coach in that league in the last 25 years. Why was he so bad? Because it’s all about x and os and decision making. That’s where he fails.

Can't argue with your assessment.
Greg can build from the trash pile he inherits , but once the program is on its feet, Schiano lacks the ability to make the program a constant top 25 team and even making the top 25 seems out of his reach..
As for Schiano and the pro game, the less said the better 🤫

Just checking…that’s not a bragging point, right?
not even close to bragging rights they show Rutgers needs to get a lot better recruiting before it comes close to being a top tier conference program .
As it stands Rutgers recruiting results show the type of talent coming in the program that will fight for being a middle of pack program that needs to fight against the lower tier teams to keep from being one of the bottom feeders.
In 2025 Rutgers was a bottom feeder (#14)
2024 middle of pack ( #10)
2023 # 5 in the 7 team East Division , but the West Division had enough bad programs Rutgers might have been in the middle of pack or part of a long list of B1G bottom feeders regardless of what division they were in

Class is now rated 36th and both Rivals and TOS haven't done their spring updates which will be coming soon.
