Our offense may suck but at least our pitching is terrible. So we have that going for us, which is nice.

Boyd threw a mostly decent rehab game for Iowa today. He was limited to 60ish pitches. I’d guess he gets another day off and we’ve seen the last of Wicks until he’s tossed into a deal to some team that needs innings filled and thinks they can unlock something.

Cubs offense in the dumpster.
Relentless ALS depressing talk.
Brett f.ucking Bielema singing the stretch.

Could this game suck any harder a.ss? 😡
Bielema sings at Wrigley every year. Fitz did it, too. It would be awesome if Kirk did it once.

Maybe and I’m just spitballing here, we could look at our training staff, and the hitting coaches at all levels. I’ve never seen a team go through these slumps. And this is the third year in a row.

I mean the last time Dansby had a hit, Jesus Christ was lecturing in Omaha.

It's still been a fun ride and exciting for the future!

I'm sure there were worse April and half of May. They played out of their minds during that stretch. I'm honestly surprised they did the 180 so quickly

Miracle 9th inning comeback...turning point?

Cubs have a very soft slate in June so could be time for an oppo "June swoon"?

I turned it off and watched the hockey game instead. Sounds like I missed quite the comeback!

Definitely got a gift on the Moises hit and the fact that Dansby actually squared up a ball pretty well. I'm not sure PCA could have dropped that hit in a better place. Take it any way we can right now.

They should just keep the camera on T-Mac during games until the Cubs do something interesting.

I really hope and pray this team doesn't buy at the deadline. They're going nowhere as currently constructed and there is not enough to offer anyone to put this team over the top.

Also ask yourself this...... when was the last time you said to yourself "thank god we have Counsell as manager"

Organization needs a total overhaul before next year. It won't be from the FO or Counsel

Today was awful, but they've had some good moments this year, too. It remains early in the season. EC sucked today. I always cringe when they bring back a pitcher without a rehab appearance. He needed one. Boyd is coming back next.
You aren't as bad as you seem, or as good as you seem at times. I will give you that what is happening with Swanson is very concerning, Happ's inability to hit right handed should signal some form of platoon system in the future, and several other guys... The offense has been putrid.

It would be nice to see the Cubs win 2/3 of June sched, but man is that a trashed pitching staff. Imanaga has given up 7,6,5,6 runs his last 4 starts (?). Rea is their best starter unless Brown can go more than 4 innings.

I have too many complaints to list here so will leave it at that. I like roller coasters but don't like this one.

Modern scheduling can be weird. 3 against the Giants, then they travel to Colorado and SF for 3 game sets.
They need to get well against the bad teams they face in June.

We're in Chicago for a sporting event. Grabbed 4 to the Cubs vs SF tonight at 7:30. It's probably been 20 years since I've been at Wrigley

If you're in the bleachers you'll have a good chance of grabbing a homer served up by Jameson Taillon, assuming the rains stay away.

Matthew Boyd threw 80 pitches yesterday, unfortunately 3 of them left the ballpark. So, he's ready to join the Cubs rotation...

Taillon... LOL. If the Cubs didn't have bad luck with their pitchers this year they wouldn't have any luck at all. Un-freaking real.

His hamstring said "hold my beer". I thought Assad pitched really well in relief. After the old C sang Take Me Out to the Ballgame we waltzed. Wrigley sucks for Uber/Lyft pickup
