Super proud of our coach to bounce back the way he has these last couple of weeks. Last year was a tough one and the beginning of the summer was rough!!! He took a TON of heat, was wanted to be fired by probably more than 75% of the fanbase and still addressed BBN to answer questions. He didn’t collapse and he may have created his best roster since being here. He is showing he can recruit top high school talent, retain his superstars, and get the big portal need. I have to say a lot of our negative fans would not have responded the way Pope has. Super happy for him.
Also, a lot of people have gone at Keegan Brown way too harshly. He got a late start and still helped orchestrate a team that can compete and maybe make a deep run. He has helped create Popes best roster and done a pretty good job in a GM like role. Dude was working in the NBA.. pretty sure he knows what he is doing. We went after under the radar… mid major guys who have talent so we could afford the big fish in Momcilovic. Brilliant budgeting!!
