Right, but Ohio State has no issues recruiting and attracting players to play for them in football. I could be misinterpreting your point, but it sounds like you are saying this fan “craziness” is a negative to attracting most players, but I’m around Ohio State fans and they are completely nuts and Ohio State has no issues getting players. It’s because they offer good money, good exposure, and are a major football school with a good history and their coach is a really good recruiter. I disagree that fan craziness is a turn off. Otherwise lots of major school would have issues recruiting as lots of the good schools have crazy fans.
That place sounds like hell to be around. Rabid OSU football fans would be awful.

It amazes me how many can take a one game and think that player should be able to put up those numbers every game. Or look at a transfer who has played for 2-3 years in a league not comparable to the SEC and expect similar numbers. It may depend on surrounding players who will get him the ball when he is open for the shot. It may depend on how opposing coaches decide to defend them. The best example of this is ever heard was in the off season following the graduation of Pete Maravitch when Ray Mears and Adolph Rupp both gave remarks at some kind of gathering. In those days every team in the SEC played a home and away against every team in the league. since players were limited to three years, both UT and UK had played six games against Maravich. Mears spoke first and described all the schemes di had devised for Pete and concluded that UT had won five of six. Rupp followed and with his draw said “ We let the boy run wild and beat them six of six.”

Exactly right . The Wooley kid for Louisville is a good example. These are his stats as a freshman in Conference USA 18.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists.
These are his stats in the ACC last year.
8.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists

Probably not a bad comparator. If Wilkins averages 8-10 points for UK, 3 assists and 3 rebounds he probably is more valuable as a soph than was Collin Chandler given Wilkins can play PG.

Not bad stats but to think a kid is going to come from Furmin and average the same in the SEC that is nothing but wishful thinking.

Yes only Kentucky fans are horrible people for sure. You really are full of **** at times and I suggest you check out other top school message boards after losses.
Ok so I started by telling you I agree to disagree with you. Instead of just acknowledging our opinions are different, you continue the topic and end up insulting me? My opinion is what it is. Your opinion is what it is. They don’t need to be the same. We can converse about other topics.

Also FWIW I didn’t say Kentucky fans are “horrible people for sure”. That’s a mischaracterization of my view. I believe Kentucky fans are by and large great.

Agree to disagree with you.

Hopefully, Momcilovic will shoot at least 40% from three on the season, definitely saving his best games for March.

We severely overpaid for him, but we were also desperate. I question how he’ll do in the SEC. Milan had a bad game in the NCAA tournament against Tenn.
