Boaz is a starter. Glauber is a reliever. You start Floger today. Glauber should be “yellow” before the first pitch and should be able to enter the game in the first inning if he has to. But starting Boaz is the move. He’s been really good first time through the order lately. And if you get 2 IP from him…that’s huge..and means that Glauber and McDuffie could take you the remaining 7.

Y’all. It’s not like they aren’t expecting to see him this weekend. He is well scouted and would not shake up the opponent just by showing up as the starter.

Players (especially pitchers) are not interchangeable cogs. Do not throw off their prep and mental game at this point in the season…

I respectfully disagree... Boaz is USED to starting the third game of a series. Globe is USED to pitching in relief. Why not stick with roles that players are accustomed to, especially knowing that if Boaz is off, you can bring in Globe for starter-like innings if necessary? Starting pitching has not been an issue in games 1 or 2 so far, and I don't see any advantage to messing up established (and effective) routines that have worked well in 3 game series this year.

If push came to shove I’m not sure that Lynch isn’t available. Not that I’d want to have to use him for a spot reliever.

Who is USC likely to go with? We need to jump on their starter quickly and get to their pen.
