I like Wilkins better than Zoom as well and think he should have the ball in his hands but the problem with that is if Zoom is off the ball then he’s pretty much useless since he can’t shoot.

I don’t know have the stat to cite but if I remember correctly his catch-and-shoot numbers are actually pretty good for a guy not known as a shooter. Should help when he’s off-ball.

I think there’s a good chance he would have started at UConn. Solo Ball is redshirting to recover from offseason surgery so they don’t have an obvious third guard after Mullins and Demary.
Mullins is going to play the 2, his natural position. They have a 4 year senior at the 3, and a top frosh behind him. He wasn't going to start there, he would have come off the bench and become their starting PG next year.
Agreed. But TBF, he admitted it was purely analytic based and heavily influenced by his extremely high turnover rate.

It’s just a one game sample. It’s a good showing for sure. But he was wildly inconsistent all season in a really bad conference. That should be a huge concern if you’re paying attention.
Man you dudes are odd. My point wasn’t Jasper is good. Hell, I couldn’t stand to watch him. My point was it’s not that difficult to average 18 at Furman if you’ve got some game and get that level of usage.
For some perspective, Almonor averaged 16.4 at FDU. Comparable level schools and conferences. Do I think he will be better than Almonor was at UK? For sure. Am I ready to call this dude a stud because he hit a few shots on UConn and put 20 on them in the first round of the tourney? Yeah, negative. Cautiously optimistic.
Jasper does nothing better than wilkins on the basketball floor. At least nothing to help a team win

Again, had nothing to do with Jasper being good or bad or me wanting him to stay. Had EVERYTHING to do with putting up those numbers at Furman isn’t special. Again, Almonor scored 16.4 at a fairly comparable school/conference. That should at least give folks a bit of pause. It won’t, because you all are the same sheep that thought…1. Pope had an actual Ferrari. 2. That the 3rd team all ACC PG was the savior. 3. Some dude that averaged 9 at Tulane was a lotto pick. 4. Oweh was an AA. 5. JQ was coming back from ACL surgery in 6 months.
