Like most, a month ago I was very concerned about our front court. My how the turn tables have turned.
Jerry must have had that story ready weeks ago
I dont think Terry's game will remind us of Teague. I think he is more mobile, more talented offensively.

I was listening to a financial report and Jim Ferraioli, the Director of Digital Currencies Research at Charles Schwab said on air on a live interview on Bloomberg Radio that he's a Seton Hall grad. Maybe he can help us start a Schwab-funded NIL
For an admittedly relatively ignorant fan, this is a pretty significant get for us, right?
Kid is physically tough, has talent and can score the ball. Always a question of how it translates to level of play but he looks like the starting center. Frontcourt is intriguing for sure.
Certainly better to have him than not to have him. If all the new players can mesh and play Hall Ball under Sha, we can surprise some teams. November tournament in the Bahamas will be a growing up experience!
One of the keys is having so many players on campus able to start working out together. That was a major issue two years ago and not so much last season and we saw the results both years.
I am enthused and think this roster with much more offensive capabilities but questionable defense this early will be very intriguing.
For now I see them as a middle of the pack team competing for an NCAA berth.

How actively did Shaheen recruit him two years ago? More than just an "offer"?
And he chose NIU over us? Other offers came from LaSalle and Texas A&M.

Hopefully we hit on one here. Strength, physicality, and rebounding can translate as an undersized center. We’ve see that at The Hall numerous times.
Having him and Williams upfront then the 7’ center and Nwuli and Mariano is an intriguing mix. This is the kind of recruits we’re going to get, let’s see.

After practice his first game, he climbed a 5 story building to save 4 children from a collapse, but injured his ankle in the process. He actually wanted to return to NIU because this kids about loyalty, not $$, but his tough, greedy agent told him to look elsewhere for a better opportunity. Carino will have that follow up feature.
Hurley actually wanted him out of NIU, but he won’t take anyone from NJ for fear they could ultimately be an option for the Hall. Copeland had other MAJOR options once he left NIU, but the Howard JUCO coach was a family friend. So he lands there.
Copeland is an important piece. He played in the toughest JUCO conference with a storied history. Jae Crowder played at Howard. He also played in EYBL when he went to SC and held his own against top recruits. He also pairs well with Williams. We have not had a low block guy like this in a bit. I think he can give 8-10 with 4 or 5 boards playing 20-24 mins.
Kaba is also an important piece. He is an elite rebounder. Better than Hines, Payne and all the current forwards. This translates. He went up from Denver and had the same metrics. Can’t play him end of game but he will give us 10-15 mins I think.
I like this team because it’s deep with most defensive scenarios covered.
I’ve been making some clearly humor based comments to keep things light in the midst of the offseason grind. But on all seriousness do you know how many good JUCOs there have been in high major hoops? Doesn’t mean he’s Larry Johnson obviously, but JUCO NPOY even at that level isn’t anything to sneeze at.
