I don’t know… starting anyone other than McPherson, regardless of today’s outcome, made little sense. I didn’t think stone was actually going to start tomorrow.
I suspect he would have started tomorrow win or lose today.
They've been managing things for weeks to get him in good shape for this exact moment. Seems no way he wasn't getting a start in Game 2.

Oak is also a pitching coach. Maybe we should fire them both.
This is it. Had we won today, it was Stone tomorrow. And McPherson would’ve been available to try and hold a Game 2 lead.
I don’t think it matters who pitches, tomorrow is going to be a slug fest again.
We need him to have game of his life and pitch 9 innings giving up 1-2 hits so we don’t have to experience this bullpen again till Monday

Not so sure. We were warming up Stone in the bullpen today in case we needed him (maybe we did in hindsight).
I am wondering if they were trying to get through the lefty part of the order with Burns and then were going to go to Stone in the 9th.
