Yeah, I’m expecting tomorrow to get ugly quick. Couldn’t have had a better start to that game for us. And honestly we answered them time after time after the comeback…. But still fell short. That’s pretty demoralizing for me and I’m not on the field. You hope they don’t just fold but hard to take the emotions out of that.
Lost 12-13 on the road, in a Super, against the 1987 Oakland Athletics/SEC Champs/SEC Tournament Champs … Vandy also won Game 1 against us in Omaha. All is not lost.
I mean, we were definitely hard to beat today. We've been hard to beat most of the season.
Problem is, the best teams find a way to beat us the vast majority of the time.

Yeah, at this juncture, we are who we are. Good bats, good starters, bad relievers. That will get you to...the Supers! Not beyond. (not usually) Hoping some bullpen guys will step up after RM deals for 7 innings tomorrow!
I’m sure you’ll say I’m being a troll or whatever. But this is literally what I’ve been preaching all year I owned up to the fact I was wrong about Arkansas stealing our super. But I was spot on we need to toss Parker if we wanna be elite. This team can not win a close game against a good team. Look good against middle if the road, of course, we spent more portal money than anyone else in the country. But we effed up with not get a good pitching coach, and above all, can’t fortitude up against any team that’s elite. Bottom line. Today freakin sucked. But it was so easy to see it coming.

Yep. State just lost ANOTHER 1 run game, one that they led 7-0, scored a total of 12 runs and still found a way to lose. You cannot sugar coat that with a “morale victory” 1 run loss.

Ha no doubt man! We have a tough team that has not quit all year, so I’m not expecting them to lay down.
But I have not always been behind a keyboard…. several years ago but I played ball. Not at the sec level but in college. And I’ve been involved in games like today (although I can’t say I’ve ever been involved with losing to a team 5 straight times) and it’s devastating and an emotional drain to lose a game like that. On the flip side, it’s the biggest jolt of energy to be on the winning side.
We can only hope that somehow some way, McPherson throws the career complete game of his life. Not likely though.
Starter wasn't good today. That is where all the trouble started. TV gave up 7 runs, all earned, in less than 5 innings. By far the worst start for Tico this season.

Bottom line. We have nothing to be ashamed of. Our bullpen just isn’t up to the tall task, and their lineup is elite. Our is really good. One run game against that squad is nothing to sneeze at. Sucks to lose, but we are what we are. We could pull a miracle and win the next two, but barring that, we have a good base to build on.
Fastball followed by the slider was lethal early, but this Georgia lineup adjusted and made us pay. Tip your hat. We made them pay too. Our bullpen couldn’t hold it, and I’m not sure Greg Maddux could have.
