I thought the last 2-3 innings were his best. I think he had demoralized the USC batters. Not a lot of good at bats in that stretch.

- we left all those runners on base, most in scoring position. He arranged for it not to matter.
- winner take all tomorrow. Saw to it that not one of our relievers threw a pitch.
Add all that to the raw statistical brilliance. It was truly an all-time great performance.

I was at that game against NCSU. It was the first game that I ever saw in Omaha. Complete with an Avant tantrum at the plate.

Man. Not only did DeCaro get it done today, he just gave the team a real shot tomorrow. All time great performance. 2 hit shutout w the season on the line is special.
It was said in one of the articles but I thought this performance was Kent Emmanuelesque. I was watching on a Pontoon boat in Destin and just screaming "Strike" again and again. Decaro was DEALING.
