This UGA team is unreal. They just flip the switch when they need to. I think they're the best team in the country.

Agreed. Oak will have to recruit his ask off. This team just isn't as talented as hyped. He'll need more talent to do what is expected of him. Especially at pitcher.
Sucks the way it went down because it was there for us. But yeah like you say, oh well. Make it through this year and good things ahead. Just have to hope Ple Miss, Auburn or Bama don’t win it all.

This team is definitely one of the best 8 teams left though. A little unlucky we get stuck playing the team I’d imagine is going to win the title.
I think the hitting is there , just don’t have the pitching.
Haven’t had it all year. It was known from the beginning of the season that the bullpen was the weak link.
I think they are going to be exposed in Omaha. The HR’s don’t fly out there like they do everywhere else.
My honest (and unfortunate) opinion is that Ole Miss becomes the favorite if the nip Auburn one more time. They have a cakewalk to the championship series, and the pitching to succeed in TD Ameritrade.
I mean the polilolemoou in me says Ole Miss would be the favorite, but that’s just being negative. Chances are they ain’t winning it. They aren’t THAT good. UNC/USC and then West Virginia isn’t a cakewalk.
I do hate that Georgia and Texas are gonna beat up on each other.
If there is any slim chance for us to come all the way back and win this, it involves Ryan McPherson having a legacy game tomorrow and then we get into another home run derby on Monday and somehow come out ahead this time.

We exposed them today. With a competent bullpen, we would’ve gotten it done.
What I expect is Ryan to last about 3 or 4 innings and give up 5+ runs while their little Aoki dude carves us up for 6 or 7 innings.

I think he has done well for first year. I think he will be good for us over the coming years.
Oak is no Sabin but he is a very good coach. He has to have the horses to win. He doesn’t have the pitching this year to get it done.
The fact is that they are far, far better than their 2022 team was, and they are in a bracket with no other SEC teams. Their hard path turned out to be on the front end, before Omaha.
I'm very happy although I was very let down losing today. At least we are in a Super. Nothing was worse than winning a NC and sucking the next howevermany years. I get tired of supporting a school that seems to suck at everything. This year was refreshing with some winning sports teams minus FB and BB.
Ain't gonna lie... making a super is a good year. But OM and Bama making the cws in the same year as our "best baseball team since 85"... very frustrating.
Not saying what everybody else doesn't already know, but we knew early on this season our bullpen was our Achilles heel. We don't have a Sims or Girardo coming out of the pen. When this game was 7-4 we all knew we were in trouble. Every now and then our bullpen will flash periods of adequacy, but we have nobody that we're confident that can step on the mound in a one run game and shut it down. Or a 4 run lead for that matter. When it matters the most, they can't find the strike zone with Google Maps and a GPS.
This is the only rationale comment. Fire the pitching coach. If you disagree give an actual argument why we should keep this clown. Attack the portal. This is embarrassing.
They were 15th in RPI heading into the tournament, missed hosting by 1-2 games.
2022 they were the last 17ing team in the field.
I think we should just fire O'Connor. This season has been a complete failure and we have looked terrible. Shut it down and sell the Dude off, and put all funds into football so we can become a powerhouse.
Yall do realize don't you that, even though we have dumped lots more money in baseball, Mississippi's baseball budget is 10 mill plus vs our $7 mill?
With UCLA and GaTech gone, they should cakewalk through OMAHA with the talent they have. However, their only speed bump could be Ole Miss.
Or Texas, or North Carolina, or Oklahoma or USC or hell, even Troy or anybody else that gets there.
