I don’t mind bringing Walker in, but he has to do his job. And for the second year in a row he didn’t. Can’t fault the process in my mind.It sucks to say it, but THIS is what we’ve been saying about bringing in Walker too early when the starter has a lead. Exactly what happened against Arizona. Now what do you do the rest of the way since you brought in your guy with all the aura?
Cannot only throw two relievers and starters not throw 6-7 innings.
Wasted Lynch’s start.
It was as outside as the call Walker didn’t get before the grand slamPeople watching on tv, was that last pitch outside to Owen?
Was a strike to HullWasn’t a strike. Never had the plate. Throw a better 2-2 pitch.
Please Stop talking lol. Before this you said AWESOME START to the SUPER REGIONALSNo reason to leave Lynch on the mound.
No it didn’t. That ball was a spinner that never bit. It was outside the whole time. Maybe the ump is inconsistent, but that was not a strike.Yeah it did. He’s been calling that ac strike all game
He’s done it every yearOvermanaged by Forbes unfortunately. Have to trust your stud with a manageable pitch count.
Not the same pitch. That strike to Hull was more an up/down call, not side/side.Was a strike to Hull
It was a changeup, not a “spinner”. In the exact location they rung Owen up on.No it didn’t. That ball was a spinner that never bit. It was outside the whole time. Maybe the ump is inconsistent, but that was not a strike.
Ball four to Lamb was off the plate from my view directly over home plate....zone has been a bit all over the plate for all sides.....but that was a ball.No it didn’t. That ball was a spinner that never bit. It was outside the whole time. Maybe the ump is inconsistent, but that was not a strike.
No, I’ve been saying no other relievers get any work. You shouldn’t just have 2-3 out of the pen you trust, because when this happens, you don’t have anymore arms for the rest of the series.I don’t mind bringing Walker in, but he has to do his job. And for the second year in a row he didn’t. Can’t fault the process in my mind.
Thank you. I’m not saying the ump is good or consistent (neither of those things seem to be true), but that particular pitch was outside.Ball four to Lamb was off the plate from my view directly over home plate....zone has been a bit all over the plate for all sides.....but that was a ball.
The guy they brought in is their best relieverLet's make them pay for making a change on the mound.
This is when I know it’s June. SweetCaroline1874 joining me in being despondent over a Heels baseball collapse.I’m just sad. 5-1 felt really good. I just hope that first inning won’t bite us, but I have a bad feeling that will.
It's where it crosses the plate not where the catcher catches it. Inning should have been over. Oh, well, this is Carolina baseball in June. Bases loaded in the 1st with no outs and 3 batters can't put a ball in play. You just knew we'd lose after that. When did he squeeze Walker? Ball never had the plate.
My comment stands.I suppose you don’t recall last years Supers? He’s a good reliever but he’s been a let down in the brightest stage in back to back years now. That’s a hard position to come in to, but if your coach trusts you enough to put you in there you have to come through and he just didn’t.
