Early in the game that was a strike and now it’s a ball, just absurdly wishy wash calls by this blue. Either way Walker can’t just hang a slider and not expect it to get smashed.
No we didn’t. We didn’t need Walker hanging a spinning slider. He gets out of that doing his job you may well cruise.

They got McDuffie ready way too quick. He had barely thrown in the bullpen before he came in. Rushed decision and paid for it.
The dude is hitting .244 with 3 homers. Basically the only thing you can’t do is hang a slider.

It sucks to say it, but THIS is what we’ve been saying about bringing in Walker too early when the starter has a lead. Exactly what happened against Arizona. Now what do you do the rest of the way since you brought in your guy with all the aura?

I suppose you don’t recall last years Supers? He’s a good reliever but he’s been a let down in the brightest stage in back to back years now. That’s a hard position to come in to, but if your coach trusts you enough to put you in there you have to come through and he just didn’t.

You must have missed the batter that walked to load the bases. Three of the four he called balls were strikes several times in this game.
