Not sure if this has been discussed but he’s dealing with some health issues. Regardless of what you think of him, he’s a good dude. Hope all gets better for him.

Edit: Apparently has to have another surgery Monday. I just had surgery yesterday. ***** for the birds.

I don’t know much about Ryan, except that he agrees with Jones 100% of the time. However, that’s not important. I wish him a speedy recovery. Prayers up for him.

I don't feel optimistic about this, and when he passes, it's going to be a big loss. He's a nice guy, and I had the pleasure of meeting him at a UK get together in Middletown, Ohio.

God I hope not. I don’t think it’s that serious. Sounds like they caught it really early. Hopefully.

He had prostate surgery initially which went well but a few days later had a complication that involved nonfunctional colon which required a second surgery. Again he was improving but apparently has suffered another issue and he has been scheduled for Monday (I think I heard Monday). The exact surgical procedures were not made known but I would assume a prostatectomy with the first and removal of at least a portion of the colon with the second. Both are big time surgeries. The upcoming surgery is unknown to me.

**** like that scares me to death. I have such a high opiate pain tolerance that a massive issue like that I would be scared they wouldn’t be able to give me enough pain killers to help, or at least unwilling these days.

Ryan I have a SIL batting Stage 4 colorectal cancer. In her third week of chemo. Lost another SIL last year to lung cancer. Both under 50 years of age. A positive attitude is key. We all love you brother and while we don’t always agree on everything, we all bleed Kentucky Blue. God Bless you my friend.
Sorry to hear that. R.I.P. and prayers for the sick.

Geez this is why people keep stuff private - too much speculation nobody knows all the facts except he has an upcoming procedure.

Prayers for him and all of us out here that could use a hearty prayer and kind forgiveness from above. Life is a struggle, but we all are here because we love Kentucky and bleed blue blood.

Best wishes to all out there, we all want to see Ryan get well and get to 100%. God speed.

While I certainly respect people’s desire for privacy it is only when one provides no info that the speculation turns rampant for public figures. He provided info about the first two surgeries himself on the show. Perhaps it’s my medical background but I’ve never tried to hide any illness or surgery from friends or strangers. Perhaps an STD might have sealed my lips if that occurred. An illness is never a reason to be embarrassed or ashamed. Seek help early if something is wrong and keep up with the screening tests/procedures.

I’ve wi deter that myself. I do a yearly PSA. But haven’t had the finger test in about 3 years.
I also get a yearly PSA. I’ve been taking Propecia since it came on the market, and one of it’s benefits, is that it’s been proven to be effective in preventing prostrate cancer.
