Great show at the Amphitheater last night, but some great songs were not performed.

For the Crowes, I wanted to hear Cursed Diamond, Sometimes Salvation, A Conspiracy, Seeing Things, and Bad Luck, Blue Eyes.

For Whiskey, how do you not do "Ballad of a Southern Man" in Brandon Freakin' Mississippi?

I’m glad now I sat this one out. I watched a couple of bc videos people posted on Facebook & they sounded off.

How do you not sing Seeing Things??? How long was their set?
Black Crowes’ set was an hour and a half

Whiskey Myers’ set went an hour fifteen

Southall was a good opener & went maybe thirty minutes… It doesn’t seem that long ago they were playing at Martin’s…

It’s tough when you only have enough room for maybe three hours of songs from two bands… good stuff will be cut out…

And even more so when there’s a third band…

A lot of folks would say don’t have a third band, but then the crowd would be light for Whiskey Myers…

The limited appearances of “Salvation” & “Blue Eyes” from recent tours can only help the energy. I’m not expecting the Robinsons to match the intensity of that show at the old Amphitheatre on campus in ‘92, but hoping for more energy than the Shake Your Moneymaker 30th anniversary tour a few years back.

Saw the Crowes a couple of years ago at Bourbon & Beyond. Still a great live performance.

That's still one of my favorite concerts of all time. Also saw them the night they got kicked off the ZZ Top tour in Atlanta.

How in the world did they get kicked off a ZZ Top tour when Jackyl did a lot of shows with them in the 90's and wasn't? The lead singer for Jackyl is many times listed as (vocal/chainsaw) for goodness sake.

I could have done without Southhall. They were ok but not necessary. I did notice a good many empty seats in the upper section. I figured the show would have been sold out. It was a good concert overall though, even with the unplayed hits.

We got invited so took the bait and went. Glad I did, we had a good time. I don't follow WM heavy, but they played most of their stuff that I knew and I thought they did well. BC like mentioned left off a few of the greatest hits, but I think they sounded fine. I've seen plenty of bands that have been around as long as they have sound WAY more washed up than what I saw last night. Crowd was very tame, not 100% full, I'd say 80%. But that's par for the course in my experience at Brandon Amp. But then again, I don't go for the bro-country shows.

Due to it being a week night show, it should’ve been expected for not to be a sell out. Whoever stacked this show with 3 on a weeknight needs a good *** chewing. I’m willing to bet if this were a Friday or Saturday night show all of those “hits” mentioned above would’ve been played. Even if it were black crows and whiskey Myers or just one of those for a weeknight show, it’d probably been more badass than what it was.

Chris Robinson sounded great imo. He’s one of the few of his generation that hasn’t lost much. But a talker he is not.

At a show, no. But he has been on a load of big podcasts lately to promote the new album and hes been very forthcoming about a lot of things. Some really interesting episodes

Theo’s and Bert’s lately were both good

Why? They play too loud as the opener?
Miller was ZZ's tour sponsor. Chris came out on stage and said something along the lines of "We ain't got no corporate sponsors, we're just f'n rock and roll". They'd been doing it all tour and Miller had enough and decided to boot them in their home town just to try and embarrass them. Some say the Crowes were doing on purpose because they had hit big and wanted to headline.

I agree. Chris Robinson sounded great live. This was a fantastic show. If you are a Crowes fan they are a must see live band.

Saw them in St Augustine Tuesday night. They are changing the set list a lot from night to night. Hardcore fans need to hit multiple shows. For me, Wiser Time was the high point of the show. The Velvet cover was good too.

Do they play, Country, Country AND Western, Blue Grass, or Country Blue Grass? If not I’d be too old for their stuff!

I was more of a Boston, Uriah Heep, Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Mountain type rocker and loved the Southern Rock Bands from ZZTop to Black Oak Arkansas, Doobie Bros, Lynard Skynard, Grinderswitch, 38 Special type stuff!

Saw where someone was on FB complaining they didn't play Mr. Jones. Probably the same person complaint about the weed.

Yeah, it was a tough scene in Tampa the other night. I'm Not cool with Chris Robinson calling fans ignorant During a show.....over politics.
The Crowe's set also includes what seems like 20 minutes of instrumental stuff by Rich and the others about halfway through, so that Chris can go backstage for a long break. Hell, he had time to take a dump, get laid, and have himself an IV cocktail before bringing his entitled *** back out there. They could have easily fit 3 or 4 more songs into the set if not for that.

Yep, grew up loving the Crowes and since WM would have already played I'd probably walk.

With that said, I believe 💯 that he has a right to express his opinion and I get the whole rock and roll rebel thing but I'm not going to sit at a concert where I'm there to have a good time and have some privileged rock star tell me how crappy our country is while he continues to take advantage of the opportunities this "crappy" country gave him. Just shut up and dribble***
