Speaking of the finals, watching the game last night and a few other Spurs playoff games, I catch myself to remember that Harper was playing for a mediocre-bad Rutgers team not long ago. The uber-talented ones like Harper tend to "get good quickly" and make giant leaps within a year, but seeing him just body older NBA players around the rim, be physical, play fearless and make plays -- he looks like a 5-6th year NBA type not the newbie that he is.

Harper will be the man, once he gets his own team. All NBA - He is really good!

Knicks better play a good game tap to buzzer soon. Sad to waste that 2Q surge with the way they started the 2nd half. Spurs much better team last night. And looks like they are feeling it.

Who would have thought that if Wemby was close to the hoop they could get him a few easy dunks. Him and the Uconn guy were killers and the Fox hoop at te end was fatal.

In CT Post this morning: ".... tickets on the floor, along side of the celebrities, fetching as much as $176,000." Seat in section 420 "Cheapest in the house" going for $10, 163." Wonder how much has-beens like Starks, Johnson, Spreewell pay for their courside seats??? Might best seats be so high, in part, because the "celebrities" get them cheaper to attract the noveau ?

Arent these all after market prices? And arent these stories comparing a stub hub type price today with actual ticket prices in 99?

When I and friends went to see the two Knicks championships in '69 and '73 we sat in the blue seats and paid $5 each for the seats.
Prof ed was at one if those games too.

I was at a Mets game for game 7 in 70. They flashed Clydes stats on the scoreboard, Shea went nuts, I held back my tears, woe was me.

Knicks had too many silly TOs last night. This has to be a wake up call as obviously the Spurs are very good. If the Knicks can get some better offensive movement and stop with the silly turnovers they will win. The Spurs definitely figured them out last night and seemed really bother their offensive tempo and the Knicks did not adjust. After Mike Brown went on an on in an interview about how much he makes in game adjustments after Game 2 - lol.

Dollar Bill. Before my time, but my Dad and others of that period talk about what a terrific, dead-eye shooter he was both in college and in the pros.

Castle was all over last night. Tough player.

Meanwhile KAT and Bridges MIA.
Spurs as a whole stepped up last night -- even the bench gave them more than usual because it was others besides Harper doing it.

I said before the series I thought this was going 6 or 7 and still think that.

Agree with Section112 about the ball movement and trying to get back to what worked so well this playoffs starting in the ATL series when they began running the offense through KAT and everyone was contributing and getting shots. Fine to have Brunson do his thing the last few minutes of the 4th, but the Knicks run has been so successful with everyone else scoring the ball.

Watching Josh Hart reminds me of a story I heard the great Jay Wright tell a few years ago. After Hart's junior year he went through the NBA draft process before he decided to return to Nova as a senior. The feedback Hart's camp was getting from scouts and evaluators was that he should focus on being a "3 and D" guy at the next level. Wright disagreed and told Hart, in sum and substance, "let's get better at everything". Hart might not have lasted or had the same impact in the NBA if was truly one of those 3-and-D guys because the outside shooting is never good or consistent enough. But he does so many other things well -- like rebound, or push the ball up off rebounds to generate offense -- that he's carved out this great, last career.

I thought the guy who ran over Brunson deserved a flagrant. The guys on the TV last night disagreed.

Brunson stepped right into his path as Castle went for the rebound. It's what he's done since Nova. Notice how he stayed down afterwards, writhing in pain, but somehow eventually got up & didn't miss a beat as soon as the game resumed. Labron & SGA are worse but Brunson is close.

Seemed clear as well that it was. Not that the Knicks haven't gotten away with some as well, but if the refs are gonna review it, they should be calling it.

A little worried the refs are going to call it tighter tonight and specifically be looking for the Knicks to hit Wemby a couple times as payback for the shove on Brunson and call an early flagrant.

That is a box out the review on that play was if castle was negligent in extending arms or making any violent wind up prior to contact....Carry on

He ran him over. imo that wording is foolish. you cant define a dirty play but you know it when you see it. Or did you gave the habit of ramming into players when you played?

you’re allowed to step in any path you want if you establish position. Yes Brunson was trying to draw a foul but he got ran over… it’s not like he flopped there.

If you're going to box out you do it with your backside.

You might prefer that, but that’s not the rule.
Face guard box out is legal as long as you don’t move. It’s a foul of you move to try and block their path. That’s not what happened. Brunson knew the path and Castle ran through it. Clearly a foul on castle and was close to being upgraded

And if Brunson was turned around and a guy runs right through him, that is also a T foul ino. The spur had his arms up, not like he didnt know what he was doing.

Can someone explain to me how Wembanyamas play on KAT was not a foul and they overturn it and call a foul on KAT when Wemby has his arm wrapped around Towns the whole time?? I don’t understand the NBA. Or the fix is in.

I am the biggest anti conspiracy poster about referees but this unbelievable. The NBA should be ashamed of themselves. These refs are criminal. The league wants Wemby as the face of the league to win.

Spurs cannot miss at all and to take KAT out of the game with those stupid foul calls and let the Spurs play with such physicality is too much to overcome. This game reminds me of an SHU came where the opponent cannot miss from 3. They were shooting like 70%
