Back when rasslin was great. Memphis from about 76-88 was great.

Did anyone watch the Poffo outlaw territory ICW show? Was short lived and it was all Savage/Lanny and even Angelo still wrestled then as The Miser. They were based out of Lexington and went all over eastern KY.

Tojo Yamamoto, Jerry Jarrett, Phil Hickerson, The Dream Machine, Austin Idol, Tommy Gilbert, Eddie Marlin. I'm sure I'm leaving off other well knows wrestlers. So many great memories of that territory.

I remember Bobby Eaton back in the day. When I was in college at WKU I used to work out at a fitness center downtown and Hillbilly Jim would show up from time to time. Ironically, I work with his son now.

The Fabulous Ones Stan Lane and Steve Kerr! Loved Memphis wrestling back in the day. I think it came on on Sundays after High Q and Star Trek.

Ronnie Garvin spent a night in the Letcher County jail because he got in a fight with a drunk that jumped off the trophy case on him, at the old Letcher High School…..good times!

Had to be around 1984 give or take a year, was driving back from Nashville and stopped at the Long John silvers restaurant in Cave City right off of I65 interstate. Standing in line and Bobby Eaton walks in with an older short bald man. They both ordered fish meals to go. Watched them leave in a red 2 door Cadillac probably a mid 1970’s model.

That was just about the greatest thing I had ever saw as a youngster. You make Jerry pull that strap down and it was on. Man that was awesome. Bill Dundee was great to. All of them. I even loved the bad guys when I was a kid. . 😂. Soo many of those guys gave their health and body’s for the little money they made. They sure put on a helll of a show

Lanny worked out with my uncle a few years and took me over to visit. Met him and his dad and it was awesome. lol. Time has flew by my friends.

They will always be my favorites. I wanted to be just like them. 🤣. I love this thread. So many great memories. Thank you guys.
