I really don't concern myself with such things but I've been told by someone I trust in the business that in a few years $2 million will be the norm here.

No matter what happens, if I sold it would be a nice nut.

Honestly a burned down shack with squatters would go for 1M in Manasquan, so yeah, I believe it.

I saw a 2BR condo in Point on social media the other day for 925k and I think it would be less in Hoboken or DTJC.

Farmingdale says hold my craft beer.

$1.22M with HOA fees of $475/month. Property Taxes $15K. Sold in 2022 for $849K.

But you can get a townhouse there that sold 8 short years ago for $260K for nearly $500K.

Prices will never go down, not to any real degree. They will ultimately only go up.

2K SQ homes in South Central LA surrounded by gang activity go for $700k-$800K lol

IDK about prices never going down. Remember in the late 1980s, there was a housing bubble. We were offered $800K for our family home in 1988. Parents were not ready to sell. In 1992, economy went down, that same house sold for $355K. Today, that house is worth north of $2.5M.

Similarly, picked up a vacation home in AZ in 2009 for nearly half what it was listed for in 2006--low $600s. Sold it in 2020 for the 2006 price. Estimated market value today according to Zillow is $920K.

You may be able to command $3 mil with your proximity to the beach. Ridge Ave in Squan has a listing that started at $1.4M, got an offer right away, but now it is down to $1.15M-for an 1800 SF house built in 1950 and at Wall border!

I have family in that area, it's probably the best "deal" for shore proximity and price. Also, Howell HS is a good HS, ranks at least as good as Manasquan or Wall and definitely ahead of Neptune.

Also, for 480k here in DTJC or Hoboken you maybe get a 1BR walkup so a full townhouse is a steal!

Yesterday I saw a house in the development I grew up in was listed for over 1.2M...my parents paid 280 in the early 90s. Crazy

Not putting down Farmingdale at all. Awesome little "town" with Howell HS. Cool tiny downtown, proximity to 195/Parkway, and a fair amount open space with the Alllaire SP Woods and camping nearby. Some great restaurants too. But that used to be the cheap place to buy a home. No longer!

You actually within city limits of LA? Looks like the fix is in to finish off Spencer Pratt with the old mail-in ballots nonsense.
Yea, it's always the same thing in this state. The cheating is brazen and obvious. I know a ton of libs supporting Pratt. It's crazy what goes on out here. Voter ID laws need to be implemented, stat. Their entire checks and balances system out here relies on you signing your voting card and that signature being verified by some anonymous group of people that are the foremost handwriting experts in the world. Yet no one knows who these people are, can't be found in government, and can't be verified on any financial statements.

The only reason you fight tooth and nail to keep this charade going is because you want to abuse the system to keep power.

Yep. How many do we need? Give us 9 days and you got em.

Exactly what happened to Caruso last election. He was leading the entire time until the MIB came along over the next 3 weeks. It was a miracle!

My favorite part is even with all of the MIB still out there on Tuesday night, and with Bass leading Pratt by 7% and less than 20% of the vote in, Bass was declared the winner. At that same time, Pratt was leading Raman by 10% but they couldn't declare him coming in second lol.

Ca. in the last 8 years has turned into one giant scam.

That's because of the New Jersey residents are using free California beaches so they don't have to buy beach tags to play in the sand at the Jersey Shore .
Been that way since 9 years ago a Bay Head life guard told a disgruntled teenage tag buyer who complained about the price : if you want free access to the beach> "go west young man" :D

stop, this is such an old argument
the problem is that beach towns want to be independent and have their own communities and survive on the summer trade to include this. You don't need 5 different police departments to travel from seaside to Belmar up 35

Most other states have figured out better ways to pay for the same services. Beach bags are asinine. They are inefficient and annoy your customer base.

I remember when you could buy a house at the beach for $35k then later the land other than beachfront for $50k,

Color me clueless but as much as I like it here I'd never pay the current going rate.

it's all elitism

Everyone is for so much nonsense until it's NIMBY. I get wanting to keep rif raf out but a single mother or father having to spend this kind of coin for just enjoying what should be free is out of this world wrong. Of course that doesn't include parking

just wrong

didn't NJ just put a taliban sympathizer in?
Ar you sure he's one or just someone who feels Palestinians should have rights.
Seems like there are some who feel anyone asking for Palestinians being treated as humans with certain inalienable rights are bad people for wanting that..

Dr Hamay was a US Army combat surgeon who served in Bagdad taking care of wounded American Military personnel during the Iraq War.
The man is a true patriot who served with honor in Military Service to the USA
