It's going to be hard to come back on teams that shoot that well from the free throw line...Who do you foul among the guards and wings who'd be on the court late in hopes of getting a miss? They are all shooting over 80 percent.

Solid research, and I like what these numbers indicate. I would expect little variance of these from one season to the next, so all indications are we will be an EXCELLENT ft shooting team next year.

Kam's 95% may drop a bit though, as he didnt play a lot last year, and his sample size is relatively small compared to the rest. Nonetheless, he's a great shooter and still above 80% IMO.

It's nice to hit FT's, but what's better is that guys who are capable of hitting FT's at 80% are generally capable of hitting threes at a decent clip. It's not a complete correlation, obviously- some guys can shoot 80% from the FT line and struggle to get above 30% from 3- but you're a lot more likely to find guys who can consistently hit threes among players shooting 80% from the FT line than with guys who struggle to hit 70%.

It's why the NBA will often ignore that a draft pick was terrible from 3 if he was a really good FT shooter. They figure if the FT % is good, the mechanical foundation for being a proficient 3 point shooter is there and can be worked on.

I am EXTREMELY excited that we'll be able to close out tight games next year. Even if they foul Moreno, he shot FT's with confidence last year down the stretch.

Moreno is 2nd lowest at 69.8%. But toss out his first 2 games as a Cat (nervousness?), and he made 73.3% the rest of the season.

Ive seen a many games slip away thru the years cause we couldn't hit a free throw.
The pj's Washington game comes to mind. Prolly cost us a final 4
