Would you vote for a homosexual politician?
Probably not. We don't get a lot of choices though. Maybe I would just not vote. I have voted for L. Graham in the past, but not anymore just because of his politics. I think Mayor Pete is a joke so I wouldn't vote for him regardless.

Why do you say “probably not” if you don’t even know their politics?

Look, I'm trying to have a real conversation and you and your buddies are just here to spread sh*t on the walls so I'd kindly ask you to go back to your other homophobic thread and leave the adults alone. You're not funny. Thanks
Boggs, it’s 10 o’clock in the morning. Some Normal people with jobs don’t have time for “real conversation”

Have you presented any proof that they are good? Normalizing deviant behavior undermines society. The proof is that at first it was just decriminalization of homosexual behavior, then marriage, then having kids. Why do homosexual couples want to mimic heterosexual couples, because that is the natural order and they are trying to have their cake and eat it too. Two people of the same sex cannot have children so why do they want to have children and pretend to be a family unit? I know a lesbian couple and one of them literally gets presents on Father’s Day. It’s play making the natural order. It’s cultural appropriation in your language.

Is it not enough that gay marriage is legal. The Community wants unwavering support. I cannot do that. It is against my religion.
So in your mind if something is against your religion then by definition it undermines society? What if my religion says that your religion undermines society?

Then what? Is your religion more right than mine? What gives you the right to decide the rules in a democracy.

You know where gays are outlawed…Iran. Maybe you should move there.

We both have the same rights to vote and enact policy. I think the drinking age should be 18 but some other people have made a decision that I disagree with. I don’t support homosexuality. Why is that a problem for you?

by your logic should homos move to another country where they are more embraced?

The fact you are a small minded bigot doesn’t bother me, the fact you would attempt to harm others via your bigotry is where I have an issue. It’s the fact that you want to impose rules that limit the happiness and freedoms of other people when those people are not harming/impacting your freedoms in any way.

You said it undermines society, yet you never qualify how it undermines society. All we have to go on is your religion does not tolerate it. Fine, believe what you want - however intolerant and hateful. But it is wanting to act on it where you cross a giant red line.

What is hateful about saying don’t support sexual deviant behavior? How do I need to be “large” minded, what is the opposite of small? Explain how it is not deviant. Educate me.

In a dialogue it is common societal courtesy to answer the question asked first before you ask your own question in return. Since you seem hung up on following strict societal rules I expect you to play by that one. So answer my question first since I asked it first then I will answer yours. Fair?

So why does being gay undermine society?

Then we can dive into why I think you are a bigot.

Would you be in favor of banning porn? Why are you more disgusted by monogamous LGB individuals than people that are serial adulterers like DJT?
I think we need better restriction on porn that underage kids are watching for sure.

Is Trump committing adultery right now? Part of the problem is the continued and active sin. Trump has been a very bad person no doubt. Again we don't get alot of options to pick from.

I have answered the question in posts to other people. You can resort to name calling all you want.

No you haven’t answered the question. But I will answer yours since I’m feeling generous today.

Calling you a bigot is not name calling. It is factually accurate - straight from the Miriam Webster dictionary.

bigot

noun

big·ot ˈbi-gət

A narrow-minded person who obstinately adheres to their own opinions and prejudices
especially: one who strongly and unfairly dislikes or feels hatred toward others based on their group membership

He could be committing adultery right now although I'm not sure he could stay awake for it. You are concerned that "gays" are harming society, but voted for a man who has cheated on all 3 of his wives. Isn't that behavior more harmful to society and families than two consenting adults having a monogamous homosexual relationship?

But I don’t hate or dislike these people. It’s the behavior. You seem a little narrow minded yourself.

It’s all bad. Not denying it. But he is married now and probably as you said too old to commit adultery. Most politicians are really bad people.

You support the use of slurs (regardless of whether you think they are harmless they are slurs), think their way of life should be outlawed, etc. That is bigotry my guy.

This is you…right?

I don't think it is really anti-gay to say those words. Being a teen in the 90s that was how we talked to each other. Its friendly insults.

Explain how it is not deviant.

"Deviant" refers to a person, behavior, or thing that departs significantly from accepted social, cultural, or moral norms.

In today's American society, homosexuality isn't deviant. It's widely accepted.

I'd say it's more accepted than ancient superstitions demanding a certain form of behavior, or the labelling of said behavior as sinful, such that you have to beg a mythical being for forgiveness for engaging in it, or even desiring it.

Would you stop believing in your ancient superstitions, and leave your cult, if we deemed it deviant? Is that label the determining factor in what should and should not be allowed and/or encouraged/discouraged?

You seem to be saying everyone has sexual attractions they refrain from engaging in. So my question is what sexual attraction are you restraining yourself from acting on?
May I answer? I am refraining from sexual relations from all the wives of these sexually repressed numptie republicans. I just know their ladies wood love some Ktrain.

There was no hate. Why are you being unreasonable? Why couldn’t you address the merits?

Per the accepted definition of deviant, your views (the condemnation of homosexuality, etc) are more deviant than homosexuality. So, should “deviance” be the determining factor? Would you be OK with your choice of beliefs being deemed deviant in a society, and thus, feel compelled to give them up?

I guess I just don't understand why people care then. Who is being asked to agree with everything and say its great? Why do you care if they have parades, etc? I went to a greek festival in Greenville a few weeks ago. They were celebrating who they were and their heritage, etc. I at no point felt at odds because my heritage is German Irish. People flying a shamrock around St Patrick's each year, who really cares. Rainbow flag, is just a flag. They are sharing their support. They aren't asking anything of you. Just my two cents.
