OT: Are there 2 more famous people in a small town yearbook than this?

I can think of others - Janis Joplin and Jimmy Johnson (who repeatedly bullied Janis - go figure), Boz Scaggs and Steve Miller (both duos in TX btw), but probably bigger schools I would think.

Any others come to mind? Regardless, it's hard to match the two attached to the picture in terms of excellence and integrity. Really hard.

I’m assuming you mean Arnie and Fred? Then, no, probably not.

Even more unlikely than Star Wars and Smokey and the Bandit opening on the same weekend.

It was also the sense that Arnie gave to everyone in his gallery as we thought he was looking only at us. Rogers focused his life on children; Palmer founded two children’s hospitals that bear his family name.

You can’t help but draw a larger message about Arnie and Fred in the turbulent times we live in. Two men from the same place, different as could be, found a common answer to today’s problems in the way they consistently treated people with kindness. One buckaroo at a time.

Jason Willians (NBA) and Randy Moss (NFL) were at DuPont HS in WV at the same time and woukd hsve been in the yearbook for two of their four years. Williams graduated a hear ahead of Moss.

You are forgetting about Bobby Howard a third teammate who was a captain at ND and played 3 season for the Chicago Bears

Robbinsdale HS class of ‘76 = Rick Rude, Tom Zenk, and Curt Henning (Mr Perfect).

A few future rock’n wrestling stars followed from the same school in later years.

The high school yearbook from Viking, Alberta would have had a steady stream of Sutters in there for several years.

Billy Cunningham was there too at that time (and my father in law)...though Erasmus was bigger than many colleges (the Streisand/Father-in-law class graduated 1700+ that year), so definitely not in the "small town" category that started this thread.

My mother-in-law grew up on a farm in Allen County, Kansas. Allen County is very rural, its largest town is Iola, 6k. My wife was a PTA president during the time Montgomery County’s school superintendent was Jerry Weast, the highest-paid superintendent in the country. Weast had grown up in Allen County, Moran (population 450). Anyway, MCPS had a luncheon for the PTA presidents and Jane introduced herself to Weast, telling him that her mother was from Humboldt. “My Moran High School graduating class had 11 students and one of them was Miss America.”

John Krasinski and BJ Novak from The Office went to the same high school, and I believe were even in the same graduating class.

I read that Oivia Munn and James Marsden went to the same school in Oklahoma City a few years apart, and Munn was friends with Marsden's sister.

Tangentially related, I was watching the "Many Lives of Benjamin Kyle" documentary the other day and he ended up renting the same apartment as Natalia Grace, another feature of a crazy documentary. I didn't know I needed a True Crime Universe.

Capote and Harper Lee were best friends. Capote = Dill in To Kill a Mockingbird. They were not high school classmates; Capote spent summers in Monroeville but went to school elsewhere. No penalty flag for this.

The 1973 Neshaminy High School yearbook had someone who played in the MLB All-Star Game (Len Barker), someone who played in the NFL Pro Bowl (Bob Grupp), and a third individual who won three Super Bowls. Plus a con man, Steve Kunes. Plus a whole buncha hot hot coeds who never gave me the time of day, rats.

Were they both at Severn School at the same time? I think Sandy is a year or two older than him and Steve left Severn school to go to Severna Park after his sophomore year. Maybe they did have one year of overlap.

Cameron Diaz has a Q rating in the high teens. Fred Rogers had a Q rating around 50. Arnold Palmer's Q rating is protected, but is reportedly among the highest in sports history. Snoop Dog's Q rating is proprietary as well.

I had this discussion probably 20 years ago w/ a corporate boss who didn't want to take care of Annika Sorenstam's putting green, lawn, playground, etc. in exchange for marketing. My friends at espn radio - who we advertised with - informed me that at the time that her Q rating was the same as LeBron James.
