We also have a community Facebook page and parents complain about it. For a while teachers were required to wear badges with their pronouns. Pride month signs are posted at the school.

Have you presented any proof that they are good? Normalizing deviant behavior undermines society. The proof is that at first it was just decriminalization of homosexual behavior, then marriage, then having kids. Why do homosexual couples want to mimic heterosexual couples, because that is the natural order and they are trying to have their cake and eat it too. Two people of the same sex cannot have children so why do they want to have children and pretend to be a family unit? I know a lesbian couple and one of them literally gets presents on Father’s Day. It’s play making the natural order. It’s cultural appropriation in your language.

This is a disturbing thing to say in the year 2026. Since gay people have always existed and they don't choose their sexuality and they aren't going anywhere whether you like them or not, what do you propose should be done to them? Should they be executed or just be miserable and celibate their entire lives so that you aren't offended?

You might be right but I'm stunned that I'm hearing someone say these things so calmly and openly in this day and age. The right wing culture wars have turned back the clock and made homophobia acceptable again it sounds like. And social media has exacerbated it by cherry-picking the worst examples of the community and spread them widely and virally until they all believe the bad examples represent the whole. It's really sad.

The LGBT community wants to be not discriminated against. I'm Catholic, so I think homosexual acts are wrong, but I'm opposed to discrimination against LGBT people, as is the Catholic Church.
