That's the best comment I've heard about the Campbell era. I'm optimistic that he'll turn PSU into the type of team that Harbaugh built Michigan into in the early 2020s, meaning a bludgeoning, no-nonsense style which PSU used to have but lost along the way. Under the last coach, although we had good success overall, it was done too much with smoke and mirrors.
Campbell has been successful at Toledo and ISU, but this is a step up. I have no doubt that he can coach football, but he must be able to recruit, if not at the level of OSU and Oregon, pretty close to the level of them. I'm hopeful that he'll be able to come close to that with what he's going to be able to sell, like a refurbished stadium, etc.
Like I've posted before, who in their right mind could've predicted that Saban would win seven NCs after he went to LSU after a good but unspectacular tenure at MSU?
