Appointing a man born with a silver spoon in his mouth and widely regarded as a dunce in his own industry of home building to be the director of national intelligence would have been too outlandish to include in Idiocracy ~20 years ago… Know several trustworthy (both left + right wing) who have directly interacted with Pulte and find him to be a bloviating fool.

Thank you, MAGAts, for installing a rich heir to lead national security whose only credential is his unwavering support for Trump…. You are the type of idiots who make autocracies possible.

I read that even many in the Trump orbit can’t stand the guy.

I assume he’s the loyalist who’s being brought in to claim China or Iran is interfering in our elections and the only way to save ourselves is for the Feds to take over.
He's the guy who spent all of his time digging around in people's mortgage records. He's a prime candidate to need a pardon in 2029.
Many suspect naming such an unqualified person to be the DNI means Trump wants someone willing to prove he actually won in 2020.

Although this is a troubling move, it's another sign of just how poorly run this administration is. People keep thinking that Trump can right the ship and seem normal before the midterms. He can't help himself. He's going to keep doing stupid stuff like this that the YOLO caucus won't be able to stomach.

He's a joke, treating his job like it's a joke.
Way back in 2015 I was warning noted middle of the road poster Lone Clone about how Trump had no apparent interest in serving as president. He wanted the power and the trappings of the office, but he had no desire to serve others. This is simply another reflection of that self centered behavior. Pulte is in the job purely out of personal loyalty, and a craven willingness to do anything Trump desires.

Correct. Some of his housing ideas have been laughably bad and have circulated in that industry.

He’s done nothing to address housing affordability ability but he’s being promoted to lead national security? What a joke.

On a part time basis no less.

The guy will gladly do whatever Trump wants, and will probably think of a bunch of shady stuff Trump hasn’t.

Scary part. This is the most stable his administration will ever.

Trump just moved the man who has seen every mortgage, every bank record, and every financial transaction of his enemies — into the chair that controls all 18 intelligence agencies.

Bill Pulte. Head of Fannie Mae. Head of Freddie Mac. The man who oversees every home loan in America.

Today he was appointed Acting Director of National Intelligence.

The media is laughing. "A housing guy running intelligence?" They think it's incompetence. They think Trump made a mistake.

They don't understand what just happened.

For 18 months, Pulte has had access to the mortgage files of sitting congressmen. Exposed fraudulent property claims by political operatives. Opened investigations into financial records that were supposed to stay buried.

One congressman filed a federal complaint last week — claiming Pulte accessed his CONFIDENTIAL mortgage files without authorization.

He didn't deny it.

Now that same man sits above the CIA. Above the NSA. Above the FBI. Above every classified database in the United States.

A man who already knows WHERE they live, WHAT they own, WHO paid for it, and WHICH names are on the deeds — now has access to WHERE they travel, WHO they call, and WHAT they hide.

Tulsi didn't leave because of her husband. She left because her part was FINISHED. The intelligence community has been restructured from the inside. The next phase does not require a diplomat. It requires a forensic accountant with top-secret clearance.

The hunt doesn't begin when you see the arrest. It begins when the man reading the files changes.

As someone very familiar with the housing and mortgage sectors, this is the most ridiculous thing I’ve read in quite some time. If you actually think that overseeing FNMA/FHLMC and having access to mortgage data has uncovered illegal activity, then you my friend are an idiot. Do you not how a US mortgage works?

Happy to walk you through how you’re being taken for a fool on this concept but you’d have to pay my hourly rate (I’ll discount 10% for a senile senior).

How is this a good thing? You're making an argument that he will be great for the weaponization of of that department, not a qualified candidate for the top intelligence job in the country. You know as well as I do that he's not being promoted to keep us safe, he's being put there to exact revenge on Trump's make-believe enemies and cast doubt on the mid-term results. You know it and we know that's what you want as well. When will you ever put your country over Trump?

I've never ignored anyone. I prefer to know what's being said, even if I don't choose to read it all.
Yeah, but, then, you just wind up reading the same slop from the same unpersuadable crack pots. And, whatever is wrong with the guy that uses PhAGGuT 27 times a day... What's the point of reading that, and engaging?
