David Lee Roth, the former lead vocalist of Van Halen, will perform at the Rust Belt in East Moline on Friday, July 31, the concert venue announced Tuesday.

Roth was the lead vocalist for Van Halen from 1974 to 1985, in 1996 and from 2007 to 2020, when the band disbanded. He also received acclaim as a soloist and released eight studio albums. Roth was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.

Roth last performed in the Quad-Cities in 1978 as part of Van Halen at the Mississippi River Jam.

General admission to the East Moline show is $85.21, and floor tickets are $101.05. Tickets go on sale at therustbeltqc.com at 10 a.m. Friday, June 5.

price seems outrageous.

his appearances on Joe Rogan podcast are pretty good. Very interesting guy.

he became a licensed paramedic after Van Halen even though he had plenty of money. He said one time they were loading a victim into the Ambulance and they guy said “aren’t you the singer from Van Halen.”

actually seemed like a smart guy. He certainly marches to a different drum than most.

The price is outrageous. The Rust Belt is a cool venue, but not sure how well this show will be attended.

I find David Lee Roth super interesting - he's quite intelligent and a polymath of sorts. But he'd rather be a clown/showman than an intellectual.

Definitely an interesting dude.

I actually saw Shakey Graves at the Rhythm City Casino and it was a great show!

Uncomfortable seats, though. They are literally just hotel conference chairs welded together in long rows.
