They shouldn't be lumped together, and I'm glad he's eating crow and celebrating this, but next time TFCat11 is endlessly bloviating in every thread about how dumb we all are, he should be relentlessly mocked over this.
Agreed. TFCat11 is a good dude who like many of us were/are frustrated with Popes inability to close the deal on top guys. Milan goes along way and hopefully Pope can continue to do better

Yeah, my uncle is from there and he's all about eating prairie dog and racoon and squirrel and anything he finds basically. That's a bit too gamey for my taste.

Yes, you are correct, I’m a huge fan of UK sports (Owensboro KY circa 1972), and I also have been justifiably critical of Pope… But, a win is a win, and Pope deserves ALL of the credit for FINALLY getting it done on a high caliber player!I’m excited to finally eat some crow! That said, I have to pull at yer' chain a bit for being so vocal about Milan and busting prematurely on everyone that held out with a lack of hope, or for those us us that have seen so many years go by, holding out with a confident hope for an optimistic outcome ....
This is one player we can all universally agree makes a HUGE difference for our upcoming season. Just how much, we just don't know until we see them all together.
Here's to holding out for some quiet optimism ( it got me thru this offseason) and better times for Kentucky basketball....

Yeah, he is & these callout threads are bs, IMO. We’re all happy Pope landed Momcilovic. But, it doesn’t change the fact that he struggled badly this cycle. It’s a weird flex to me to call someone out for having doubts when the coach had gone 0 for 20, or something like that, on top targets this cycle leading up to Momcilovic.
And, this recruitment became a saga that dragged on for weeks, mirroring the previous whiffs almost exactly. It’s totally justifiable to have doubts in that scenario. Even national ppl with legit credibility were openly criticizing Pope’s recruiting & questioning whether or not he can do the job.
Acting like it’s just negative trolls here is disingenuous at best. Seems like there’s a contingency here that is far too worried about what other ppl think & are constantly following posters around, trying to chastise & shame them. OP should apologize to @TFCat11.
Weeks? It was Wednesday the 27th late when he pulled out of the draft and he signed on Monday the 1st. That's 4 days......
I already said TFcats11 is a good poster and shouldn't be lumped in with the troll but the Milan recruitment was quick, it wasn't drawn out at all. It's a lack of patience in the fan base if that is the perception.

I said we had no shot and I was wrong. Still don't love the roster overall, but I'm happy to be wrong about that too.
Just calling it like I see it. Have some humility. He’s been cool about it, even you calling him out & you still came back at him with an a$$hole comment. I was definitely LOD on Tubby & Cal. I’ve been fair with Pope. Never said one negative thing til midway thru this season & I’m on record here SEVERAL times saying I want it to work out. I’ve even said it a cpl times in the last few days. But, I won’t lie to myself & pretend things are great when they aren’t.You LOD’ers stick together don’t ya?
