I'll go first, I use PirateShip.com a ton. It's a package shipping website that gives you access to commercial rates. You enter your own package dimensions and weight and print your own labels at commercial rates (generally a half to two thirds off) and then you just drop them off at the post office or UPS. It's awesome and especially easy after you buy a pack of adhesive 4x6 labels for your printer. However, I feel like most people have never heard of this when I talk about it. I primarily starting using it on vacation when we fly to my parents in Florida. I started sending my golf clubs a couple days ahead and then reboxing them and sending them back before we leave. From Iowa to Florida is only about 20 bucks each way and takes the hassle out of bringing them through the airport. The lady friend is a shopping addict and buys **** tons of stuff when we're down there. It's dirt cheap to box stuff up and UPS all of it back instead of trying to stuff it all in suitcases for the return trip.

So what's everyone else got?

Change your dadgum water heater anode rod. Most people don't even know it exists.

Inspect it every 3 years and replace it when it's significantly worn.

If you have a water softener, check it even more often as softened water can consume a standard magnesium anode rod much faster than many people realize. iirc, an aluminum-zinc anode rod is tge better choice, especially if you're also dealing with sulfur "rotten egg" smell.

A $30–$60 rod can add years to the life of a $1,000+ water heater.

You’re an anode rod

- Baked bacon >>> fried bacon. Baking sheet, parchment, bacon, second baking sheet - making a stack. 450 oven until done. Perfect and flat crisp bacon.

- You can poach an egg in a coffee cup filled with water. Microwave for about 1 minute.

- The cart girl is never going to date you.

In addition, don't buy a set of knives, buy the individual knives that you use most and spend a bit more on those. A great Chef knife is worth a whole crappy set of Chicago Knives.
This is what I've done. I've got a couple of different Shun knives, and two different Global knives, then several different cheaper knives that I can use for things where I don't mind them getting banged up. I also have two of the Ginsu knives that have been great for everything! They've been mistreated for years, and are still great for slicing bread, vegetables, etc.

You can make really good one pan chicken really easily.

use a steel pan, get it hot, drop in either chicken thighs or breast, and cook it about 5 minutes a side to get a sear, take it out.
Drop in shallots or onions and cook and scrape the chicken stuff off the bottom of the pan. Deglaze with broth or wine, add some cream and spices an herbs and reduce to a consistency you like, put the chicken back in the pan and cook it to temp in the oven at like 375.

Make some rice... and cut the chicken and pour gravy over the rice. You can do this with many different flavors but the overall method is A+. You can use indian spices or Mexican ... anything you can imagine.

If you out a "Beware of Dog" sign in your back yard even if you don't have a dog, you're less likely to get burglarized.

Also, you can get discounts on gas using the Upside app.

If you put out a " Beware of Dog " signs on your yard and your dog actually mauls some kid, you've already acknowledged that you are housing a dangerous animal and most likely lose in a court of law because of this...

Doesn't the sign also show as a warning if a kid comes onto your property uninvited and gets mauled?

(I don't personally have a dog...just the sign.)

On a related note make sure your lease agreements say no pets if you own rental properties. Wether you care if people have them or not it's a just in case thing if it attacks the mailman or something. Then you can say they weren't supposed to be there.
