Wait, I thought tariffs weren’t the reason prices have gone up

COME ON MAN! Tariffs USED to not increase prices when Trump told you they didn't. Now they do and Trump is all over this to reduce prices for everyone.
if this is aimed at me, you've got the wrong guy. I have always taken the position that tariffs both increased prices and contributed to inflation. Still believe it.

We all know you're rubber and we're glue. Responsibility sticks to us as it bounces off of you. We'd never expect you to admit you were wrong Ned

But, do yourself a favor and go back and look at my posts on tariffs...am not a fan, and have not been a fan

Take a look at Chris Waller's recent remarks, which i think are pretty fair here. Tariff impacts were one time and relatively fleeting. Direct and indirect oil price effects associated with the continuing war in the ME may be another matter entirely.

Great. The US companies can be refunded again. What a joke.
not necessarily. remember, the supreme court didn't throw out tariffs, just the means trump used to implement them. There are other, legal means to implement them.

I'm not implying that I support tariffs or that any new tariffs won't add to the cost to consumer, or that they won't be inflationary, just that there are ways to do it that won't result in new refunds.
