Yeah, like Dirk couldn't create lolIf they put a big man on him, he can move against him. If they use a smaller man, he can shoot over the defender.
There you have it. Scouting reports are wrong.
i love the trope of "white ball player exclusively gets compared to other white ball players".After the last few days, I’m just going to spend the rest of the summer believing he’s the love child of Bird and Nowitzki, and enjoy every second of this crow Pope sent over to my house to eat as a “F you” for doubting him![]()
I don’t think Noah’s ever gonna see the floor outside of garbage time next year.Good lord next season is gonna be fun. Last year Milan and Noah combined for 137 made threes. I can see that number going up.
Yep step back high release finishHe’s mastered that patented Dirk Nowitzki step back and shoot off one leg move. And from deep range.
The opposite is happening with Noah for his career. Every year in college he is getting less and less playing time.I don’t think Noah’s ever gonna see the floor outside of garbage time next year.
Adding Milan eliminates any conceivable need for what he provides.
He doesn’t care and quite frankly I think he’s a little bit ticked off UK got some good news last night. He thinks an NBA scout’s assessment is indicative of how good a college player he’ll be.When you post, I take your posts seriously and respond seriously. When I post, even when I say its my own opinion, I get disrespectful laugh emojis. I don't prefer that --- think your distaste of the coach overrides you at times.
Momcilovic is a shot creator -- I've told you this before. It's not his primary bag, but definitely a part of his game. He averaged 17.0 ppg last year for a reason --- it wasn't all catch and shoot. If I were you, I'd be wondering why Momcilovic is regarded as a top 3 portal player (regardless of ranking site).
What does that have to do with anything? What does that add to this conversation besides you implying racism? Your bs gets old.i love the trope of "white ball player exclusively gets compared to other white ball players".
I agree that using an NBA draft scouting report is not a good way to analyze his game. He does things in college that he will not be asked to do at the next level. I think Wildcat fans are going to love Milan. I'm something of an Otzelberger guy so I try to watch more Iowa State and I was over the moon about the possibility of Momcilovic. He doesn’t care and quite frankly I think he’s a little bit ticked off UK got some good news last night. There are whole games out there on YouTube that you can watch if you’re so inclined to think for yourself.
The debate on Milan started with many on here calling him JUST a spot up shooter. Which is ridiculous. He’s not going to be confused with a slasher like Oweh but he’s way more than a spot up shooter. Dude can score.
We may have to define our terms here. He has some creativity with how he’s able to get his 3s off besides strictly wide open catch and shoot situations, but he’s absolutely not a guy who’s routinely putting stress on the defense off the dribble. He rarely gets to the rim at all, two thirds of his field goal attempts last year were from behind the arc, and he had a very low assist rate.
He’s still likely going to make a big impact on offense just from how many 3s he can hit on high efficiency, but I do think it’s fair to acknowledge that he doesn’t do much of what people usually mean when they call someone a “creator”.
I know many people do this. But race is NOT the reason he draws so many Nowitzki comparisons, instead it’s because his moves look like a carbon copy of the ones Dirk made famous.i love the trope of "white ball player exclusively gets compared to other white ball players".
The context here is that Milan can create his own shot not create for others. As I stated above, the debate on him started with folks saying he was just a spot up shooter. We may have to define our terms here. He has some creativity with how he’s able to get his 3s off besides strictly wide open catch and shoot situations, but he’s absolutely not a guy who’s routinely putting stress on the defense off the dribble. Cry about itWhat does that have to do with anything? What does that add to this conversation besides you implying racism? Your bs gets old.
And what's wrong with that? White players tend to not be as athletic, so they focus on parts of the game that don't require as much athleticism. Meanwhile, black players tend to use their athleticism to their advantage. That's why white players at a high level play very similarly and get compared to each other. If you weren't a moron who gets off on insinuating that people are racist, we wouldn't have to explain it to you as if you are 5 years old. But here we are.i love the trope of "white ball player exclusively gets compared to other white ball players".
What about this is negative? You people are never satisfied with anything. Go get a job.
I think there’s some pretty good discussion in this thread with only one that’s trying to throw it off. That’s pretty damn good for this site. You people are never satisfied with anything. Go get a job.
Go find a political board. You're banned from my feed. You are the village doubter. You have to be a democrat.
Sorry pops I'll try to be betterAnd what's wrong with that? White players tend to not be as athletic, so they focus on parts of the game that don't require as much athleticism. N'Diaye has that same move in his bag, I instantly thought Dirk.I know many people do this. But race is NOT the reason he draws so many Nowitzki comparisons, instead it’s because his moves look like a carbon copy of the ones Dirk made famous.
The dude obviously studied a lot of Dirk vids as a kid.
100%Two years of mark pope has taught me he will never have a good defensive team, so might as well get the guy who shoots 48 percent from three.
I dont understand how folks cant be happy with MM coming here. I have ragged on Pope a lot this past season and I am so glad to be proven wrong on Pope landing MM.I agree that using an NBA draft scouting report is not a good way to analyze his game.
