Btw it also helps if you have someone who can deal with Reed one on one most of the time with only targeted or situational specific help. But not may can do that without Reed going nuts, creating foul trouble or both.
The $$ numbers we read are fiction. We all know that by now, dont we. I dont have to call myself Seton75illy to figure that out.Pretty sure that Michigan spent much more then $10 million, Yaxel did an interview with CBS sports & said he turned down $7 million from Kentucky & took $5 million from Michigan, Michigan tried to get Braden Smith from Purdue to enter the portal & offered him $4 million but Purdue matched it , so Michigan went after Cadeau.
Have to believe that Mara & Johnson both cost some serious coin. Think they were in the $15 million range.
Hurley is a lunatic on the sidelines but is 10000% great for college basketball and the Big East. And he’s so many fans of all stripes either don’t get the “glass houses” adage or are too blindly hypocritical to appreciate or care otherwise. One thing i don't understand is this: it seems a lot of Michigan fans are ripping on Danny and saying he's all that's wrong with college sports. Do they not remember less than a handful of years ago when THEIR coach threw a friggin' punch in the handshake line??! Either people have very poor memory or they never learned the rule about Glass Houses.
You're talking to fans who don’t know ball. The Michigan fans I know respect Dan a lot. There’s a difference between an extreme competitor and an imbalanced narcissist (Izzo). One thing i don't understand is this: it seems a lot of Michigan fans are ripping on Danny and saying he's all that's wrong with college sports. There is no doubt about the mauling and the officiating of that game. And the MVP was the biggest offender! These refs have allowed Michigan to maul UConn's guards. But they call everything for Michigan.
Issues like poor gameplay flow and shooting mechanics can really affect the overall experience in stadium-based matches. Discussions around gaming platforms such as pkeasy also show how user feedback often focuses on improving gameplay quality.Playing these games in these football dome stadiums is awful. The shooting is awful and there is no flow to the game. Jerry Carino is right and it is not just the fans that suffer.
I'm in a group of 6 Hall alumni who began going to the Final Four each year starting in the mid 80's. It was great fun until the venue moved to these gigantic arenas and stadiums. Gradually became impossible to get a decent seat. The overall experience eroded significantly, Around 2001 we abandoned the Final Four and began going to one of the four Sweet Sixteen sites. That too began to erode after a while and last year for the first time we changed the annual Sweet Sixteen trip to a different event. Last year was the Louisiana Derby. The changes in the game in the NIL era was a major factor. Bottom line, it ain't what it used to be.Playing these games in these football dome stadiums is awful. People tend to selectively recall what was good about the past while ignoring its negatives, but as far as sports go -- college or pro -- I can hardly think of a thing that has gotten better about any of it.I'm in a group of 6 Hall alumni who began going to the Final Four each year starting in the mid 80's. Yes, clearly this. Totally inarguable (especially since the retirement of Brent Musburger). But as far as the sports themselves? I really can't think of much if anything. The only thing I can think of is the quality of the TV Broadcasts & their availability.
