I told ya I had a bad feeling. Well that sucks what a blown chance this year. Up 3 runs in 9th and blow it and can't do it tonight.
That ******* sucks win the first 2 games in the regional to end up losing the last 2 games to get knocked out.

An absolutely brutal sports year continues. I may never forget that 9th inning meltdown last night.
Is what it is. This team won two games I didn’t think they could win, then lost the one they should have won last night.

Can’t even lie, the Country roads sing along that WVU does after a win is pretty cool. As gut wrenching as that end is.
Center fielder coming up throwing to second like that mattered was the icing for me. Did he not understand it was one out and that runner on third was the winning walk off run?

I don't watch much college baseball but the fielding and field play in general is definitely miles apart from the majors.
We shouldn’t have even been playing tonight if we didn’t choke last night. These 2 games make me sick to my stomach.
I hope not. Mingione has built a good foundation, but I feel like his style of ball is maxed out. We need more pope in the line-up. We also need more reliability from both our offense (scoring runs when getting guys on) and a better bullpen. We looked like we were hanging out by a thread all week, like we were just lucking into wins.
This small-ball can work, but you have to be able to bash your way to a win or have shut-down arms in the bullpen. Cat’s couldn’t do either.
Not fundamentally sound and short on pitching. And they almost made it out of the regional. Been a crazy tournament. 1 and 2 down. Could be wide open in Omaha.

Didn’t matter. Game was over at that point. He had no play at home unless the runner fell into a sink hole.
From second base on a ball he almost caught? Should’ve definitely been a possibility to throw him out. Never. Saw a camera angle but no chance guy was already at home. He threw it to second trying to get the force out which was pointless. Low baseball IQ.
If he made a mistake at all, it might have been giving up any chance he had at holding the runner on 3rd by diving when there was little hope of making the catch, but I couldn’t get a very good look at what the runner was doing. If he made an aggressive read and wasn’t holding to see if the ball would drop, the game was over as soon as it touched turf anyway.
Was thinking the same thing. With the way the ball was hit, runner at second wasn't running on contact. Keep ball in front instead of diving for it and you keep him at third. Then bases are loaded and you've got a play at any base

Absolutely ridiculous that he didn’t bring Jelkin in last night. He’d had 2 full days rest; don’t tell me he couldn’t come in and throw 15 pitches.
My mistake, he pitched Friday, not Thursday. But I still stand by the argument that he should’ve gambled that his ACE could get 3 outs before WV got 3 runs
The WVU threw 100+ yesterday and came in tonight. Mingione absolutely lost this with his in-game management and personnel decisions.
