Most of the players on UK’s 2026-27 roster should be coming to town in the next few days, with the Cats’ summer practice session expected to begin the week of June 15. During the summer, Kentucky’s coaches will have eight hours per week — over the course of eight weeks — to work directly with the players. The eight-week practice session could also be particularly crucial for the Cats if they do not go on an international trip later in the summer. The program’s original plan to travel to Israel on an exhibition tour was canceled, and it’s possible that the team will now stay in the United States all summer.

So the players not talented enough to get drafted high enough in the NBA...make more money than players that are good enough to play in the nba....and have restrictions on the amount of time they are required to practice. The NCAA is dead

In hindsight it was a poor decision to schedule Isreal, but the program shouldn't just concede that valuable time for team cohesion. Find a loophole or schedule something or prepare for backlash.

The whole Israel concept was an absurdly poor idea.

Was he counting on one of the 50 fake ceasefires to hold in perpetuity.

We needed to be sharpening iron in Europe anyway. Not crazy as hell Israel or a pointless excursion to Canada or the Bahamas.

Competition of worth is located just across the pond.

This actually pisses me off more than the recruiting struggles because it was wholly preventable by not being frankly nuts or cut off from world events for years now.
