It doesn’t matter to me ultimately whether he does or doesn’t. I have my reasons for believing he is getting fed real info. I just think it isn’t as reliable as we’d want. I think that’s true for literally everyone with an ear to this stuff right now. Stuff is very, very complicated in the NIL portal era.

I think the issue with Rain is he has tripled down on the fact it’s a done deal. If he is right, I’ll sing his praises. If he is wrong- then he should self ban.

He never backs down. What's your point? He doesn't know anything he hasn't read on Twitter
I have no idea what he or anyone else knows, I’m not really into calling other Kentucky fans out just for the sake of doing it. Everyone can read and put thoughts together, they sure don’t need me at anyone else spending months doing nothing but watching and waiting for someone to post, just to call them out. It’s obsessive and sad, more than that, it just clogs up the whole site and makes zero sense. Rainmaker is a good poster in my opinion. You may not like him, I just don’t care about that and I’d imagine no one else does either.

Maybe he missed a couple predictions to where HE THOUGHT a player might end up, should we cast him off a high rise building? who in the world cares? No one knows how every single player/young man thinks, and kids change their minds as the drop of a hat. I had a triple bypass/open heart surgery a few years ago, and have more things to worry about than if someone gets everything right or wrong. Time is to short man.

Oh he never just says he THINKS something. It's always a done deal. Good poster? I think not. You have low standards. He's perhaps the dumbest.

We'll find out later that a deal was effectively done the night he withdrew from the draft. Maybe even before that. This whole thing being dragged out has a bit of a groundhog day feel to it. At least we didn't have to put up with embarrassingly self promotional live streams from Rupp.

I’m actually fine if UL takes him. He won’t make us a title contender but he probably would make us good enough to save Popes job another year. In that case I’d rather he just go to UL so we can end Popes time here.
Why isn't chud trying freedom of speech behind bars? It's the same laws. I don't know why he wants out of jail so bad lol. He'd get stretched out and he knows it. Freedom of speech. Freedom to disrespect people for no reason.

I like ol Chud.

It’s not bad. You don’t like ****** pro sport. Neither do I. College basketball is pure trash semi-pro sport now. If I wasn’t raised on Kentucky basketball by my grandfather I would never, ever watch. At this point it is habit and nothing else. I wish NIL would hurry and just kill it completely.

I’d rather watch worse athletes on a level playing field. If I wanted to watch the G league I would just do that.
Agree 100 percent. The sport was already bad because of officiating (and no I don't mean just against UK, officiating is awful in almost every game). Now it's just a pro league and there isn't even the illusion of players loving the university they play for. Like you, I'll keep watching but only because I was raised to be a UK fan. Honestly I need to just make myself cut ties with it but haven't been able to do that yet.

Milan is one of the best 3 shooters in college history. You have to move Heaven and earth to get him. This team only really makes sense if you have a guy like him and we currently don't unless Kam makes a giant leap.

If Moreno has a problem with that, then he doesn't understand what it takes to win or he overestimates his own value.
Agreed, if Moreno truly cares about winning number 9, he would want heaven and earth moved to get the other MM too. As long as he is making what he feels he's worth (and I'm sure he is) then it shouldn't matter if it's less as long as they can compete for a title.

Are you an expert?
Nope. What you’re watching is MM’s agent milking an emotional interstate rivalry to get his guy wildly overpaid. Louisville doesn’t need Momcilovic to be a top‑15 team… but Kentucky absolutely does.

Louisville’s entire strategy is to make Pope drain every last JMI dollar just to stay in the race. And you know who’s definitely noticing this? Moreno.

He’s sitting there thinking:
“Hold up… where’s MY cut?”

How about the fact that Derek Anderson helped Pitino land Yessoufou along with some other former players . Saw that article yesterday. Yessoufou gave the same reason for committing as Freeman. Pitino's street cred.
See this is what Pope doesn't have. I don't think it's personality/ "weirdness", though that doesn't help him one bit. I think it's more that elite players can't get any elite references for Pope. Like look at the competition -- Kelsey was on staff at WF when they had Chris Paul, Jeff Teague, and Al Aminu. If those guys vouch for him, those are amazing references. Lloyd built the Gonzaga pipeline and got a guy like Corey Kispert drafted in the first round. Thats impactful to a guy like MM who aspires to be elite. MM does not look at Koby Brea and say "I wanna be him"

I know that's a popular party line on this board because Jones used to say it, but it just isn't true.

In fact, these top earners are getting more than you'd think. They play down the money to avoid the pr hit.
There no legit source on NIL unless a player actually shows what he made to the media.
To my knowledge no player has spilled the beans on actual earnings to the media.

I’m going 10 million. Especially when you have two rivals trying to outbid each other. Crazy to think about
No even close.
Neither school(UK/UL) could cover that amount especially UL.
MM is nowhere close to Stokes in terms of marketability so his legit NIL is limited.

This whole system breeds player jealousy.
If Moreno doesn't have a problem you can bet some of the other 10 guys will.

Well all the Louisville insiders are saying it’s done ,And they said the Iowa St coach told him to go to Louisville ,If he wasn’t coming back to Iowa st

Not to defend the guy but what about him is 'weird' exactly? We tend to speak about people as if we've known them for years. Hell, I'm about to do it too...I think Pope may be someone who says he understands the current landscape but his pitch may be something you'd see in Hoosiers or some Hallmark movie about the plucky basketball team. The UK swagger is gone and has been replaced by a Mr. Nice Guy attitude. Pope appears to be the one trying to close and maybe he's just a dude who'd lose every hand of poker at a casino. That's not 'weird', some people just aren't good in these situations.

As far as Louisville goes, what they've done they won't be able to do every year but I hope no one is shocked that the main university in the largest and most powerful city in the state (the state as a whole is poor btw), who's been attached to several big local companies, is able to find the money for at least this offseason. They've got UPS, Yum! Brands, they brought back the crazy pizza man, etc. Who thought no one would give them money during the NIL Era?
not sure if serious …
