My best friend was an undergrad at ECU, and is now in the DNAP program there and is pulling for Carolina right now lol. He has season tickets to the big 3 at ECU..I know plenty of ECU/UNC fans

I don’t doubt you. Just haven’t encountered that myself. InterestingI know plenty of ECU/UNC fans.

I used to think come postseason game threads that these fans never watch us play until the postseason. I’m now beginning to wonder if they watch any baseball at all. This board is pretty critical of Forbes' coaching moves from time to time.
But, IMO, bringing in your best reliever in a high-leverage, non-closing situation is a ballsy move. And in this case was 100% the right move.

People upset about bringing our best 1/2 reliever in during a high leverage situation to relieve a starter they were all saying wouldn’t give us 3 innings.
Now we got somebody that wants us to bench our 3B slugger and move our 2B back when we have a stellar defense already.
At least one poster doesn’t understand splits vs righties and lefties.
It’s baseball people. You should watch and enjoy. We got a great team. Are we perfect, nope. But it’s college baseball, you won’t see perfect often.
Agree with you - you can see how much we give up in the OF with Rom, but man is he smoking baseballs right nowI know why Forbes did that, but man, Kellis has been on fire.
That assumes he can see left and right. I think he’s blind and makes calls based on sound.this ump has been a lot more generous with the left side of the zone than the right side
Your argument would’ve been fine without the second paragraph.Disagree, there are teams in the top 8-16 that have more depth in their pen and overall staff than we do than can absorb bad situations better. We have four absolute horses but it feels like we have no confidence in anyone else to fill meaningful innings.
If ECU scores 3 in the bottom of the ninth last night then we’d be at home watching supers because of our lack of depth and how we managed game 1. That’s just what concerns me moving forward. Hopefully we don’t have to dig too deep.

Yes, we’re thin. I can agree with that. We just have an incredible mix when you take the offense into account. It would take what you say plus a bad offensive night. That happens in baseball but I’m not betting on it in a Best of 3
Correct and the analyst on TV said you only need about 5 dudes to win Omaha. It’s all about formatIt’ll also easy to look at stats and think other teams are much deeper. If Rose or Matty, can step up, we’re pretty deep. And it seems like they are able to do so.
Still taking him off the field? Why does it matter if it’s this year or last year?

EPIC. Well done Mr. PowellYou know Carolina Baseball has arrived when the game threads mirror the basketball game threads. Congrats, all!
That play was fantastic! He may not be having a great day at the plate but boy oh boy has Cooper come a long way at third
