Start Rose Over Boaz Tomorrow?

Wouldn’t mind sticking with Boaz with a very short leash. He was solid against GT first time through the order in the ACCT
I would, but if it’s Boaz, he needs to be on the shortest of short leashes.
Boaz as long as he can go, then Rose. No matter how you look at it, if you want to win the whole thing, we will need Boaz.
I thought Boaz vs GT wasn't pitching poorly, their guys could just hit. Stick with Boaz, stay the course
Rose has been MILES better out of the bullpen vs. starting, and Forbes has said multiple times that Boaz is more comfortable starting than coming in out of the pen. You may end up getting more innings out of Rose than Boaz but I would be SHOCKED if Boaz didn’t start
Considering your track record, that means Boaz is the clear choice.
Some criticized spending Glauber innings today. That discounts the advantage gained in winning the winners bracket. ECU spent 14 innings of pitching on Friday and more today. VCU and ECU will spend a full 9 innings more of pitching before we even face them tomorrow evening. They are the 3 and 4 seeds facing us after having played 3+ games since Friday. If, in May, we simply think another pitcher is a better starter than Boaz, then OK. But otherwise, why are we questioning starting our season-long Sunday starter against a 3 or 4 seed that has already played 3+ games in 3 days and has to beat us twice?
Like the people afraid of the VCU crowd being rowdy before the first game. This is a very fearful fanbase.

You likely need both tomorrow. Boaz looked good against GT even with the result. Boaz for 3, Rose for 3, then you hope to be way up with other team out of pitching.
Mcduffie has thrown 30 so far this weekend so would think he could throw 45 or so. With the way Glauber has been used this year wouldn’t he surprised to see him throw an inning if needed.

No you stick with what got you here. Our bullpen is fresh and Forbes and Gaines obviously know their roster and how best to utilize it. The results speak for themselves.
Look if you have ever coached sometimes you have no answer to the question? Boaz has struggled worse out of the pen and Rose is effective out of the pen but struggled as a starter . So as bad as it looks you keep doing what you're doing. Another idea would be to have a staff day with this game and if you get someone who comes in as it dealing ride with them as long as you can? The last thing we want to do is go to a game 7 tomorrow but we also don't want to use up McDuffy when trailing . That's going be a touch call who to use if we get behind a few runs but hopefully that doesn't happen.
Even though I think Rose has had a better season than Boaz, I understand why they would start Boaz today. Boaz has been be game three starter all season and certainly has more experience.
Our offense needs to give these pitchers some lead to work with. Could make a world of difference.

Context matters. He actually said "Folger's numbers aren't GREAT (in comparison with DeCaro and Lynch), but I think he is a weekend starter in our league. I think he can beat anybody".
We do not have to - but Coach Forbes absolutely must - consider the uncomfortable “what if” there is a Monday game. If we pitch Rose today and burn him would that leave Boaz for Monday? Are we good with that? Matty?
For that reason alone I think Coach sticks with Boaz on a short leash and brings in Rose, then Matty, then McDuffie to close.

Boaz stats are not good but the only thing that matters is what are his stats like today.
Looks like we will get our shot at Norby at 5p ET today - ECU with a comfortable lead and doing everything they can to keep him from throwing against VCU.
