and to be very, crystal clear, this has not happened at any other school with this many high profile players that were essentially locked up. This is 100% an outlier with Pope and Kentucky right now. And also a reminder Pope got 0 high school recruits this cycle (not counting mason williams or zyon hawthorne).

Other schools don’t have a radio host and fanbase reporting made up numbers in the middle of a recruitment

I’m as negative as anyone but I think he’s coming. Something that I’ve been considering though, is it the best for UK if he comes? Even with him we aren’t a title contender but he probably would be good enough to get Pope a season good enough to save his job for another season. That’s the worst part about this.

Some of you guys have the frustration tolerance of a toddler. It was reported all week by many sources that he would make a decision THIS WEEKEND. When you don't have an answer by 3pm Saturday you start losing your minds throwing vitriol at the coach the kid, UK. Multiple posts about him playing the system looking for the highest bidder. I ask you if your son was marginal to ever play in the NBA(as M is now) would you advise him to rush into a decision about a deal that is likely to be the most money he will make in his whole life. Let the kid decide what he wants to do, he will anyway. If he wants to wait a few days to get it right so what, right now he doesn't owe us a damn thing.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I tend to believe a guy who runs a successful KSR over random anonymous X sources who could very easily just be a 20 year old with a fake account. But that's the world we live in now. That's not an endorsement of KSR in any way, but I believe them as a source over some of these fake insiders.

What I expected to be the case all along.

I think the main question is how much Milan wants the spotlight/stardom/pressure that’ll come at UK. Does he want that? Could easily see a guy passing that up for say 90% of the same money if he wants to avoid that.

Also a million dollars is a big range lol. Are we talking 100k more or are we talking 900k more?

As much as I hate to say it, it could also just be that if the money is close enough, he’d rather play for Kelsey than Pope, especially with the rosters each of them have for this season. Despite the on-court results of the first two seasons with a new coach being fairly similar, it feels like the perception of the direction the two programs are heading is pretty different right now, and not in our favor.
