Why does it automatically become a strike? That’s another ridiculous rule. If it was going to be a strike, makes sense. But that would’ve still been a ball.

I always hated that rule. That was a ball. Fine to judge it as "get back in the box", but that wasn't a strike

Agreed. We still have plenty of time, but I’m not real thrilled that we’re stranding so many RISP. They have all the momentum too.

Probably, however we could re-write dang near 1/2 of the rule books for all sports if they were written with such intent. Batter shouldn’t be able to take away a strike, but if the pitcher throws in off the plate, punish the pitcher, not the batter

The one thing UNC could not do is give ECU momentum. All they have done is give them tons of momentum. Awful from DeCaro so far. Wasting baserunners. Inexplicably dumb play from Carter. Long game and could’ve been way worse than 2-0. But less than ideal start for sure. Adversity has hit really early.
