You beat me to it. I don't care if they are your relatives, best friends or your boss. Don't bring the enemy to Boshamer tomorrow, and don't succumb to the lure of money on Seat Geek.

I spoke with a friend tonight who said his sister had 8 season tickets for the hurricanes for years. Sold every game she couldn’t fill all the seats with family or friends. She got a call from the canes a year ago, they said she was in breach of the season ticket contract which states you cannot resale over a certain % of your tickets and she had gone over that % for 3 straight years. He said I could take away all of your tickets but he left her 3. It would be great if UNC did that. It would prevent a lot of recent instances at UNC sporting events where you are surrounded by visiting fans in season ticket holder seats.
That happens with other pro sports teams, but I doubt you will see it at the college level. The difference is Canes season ticket holders aren't donating extra money to the franchise for the right to purchase the tickets.

It’s legit insane. Are these basketball firsters that just buy baseball tickets to turn a profit on regionals/supers? Are they people buying extras? There’s basically a whole row in front of me that has had NO ONE in it all season and the whole row has been up for sale every game of the regional. Are they just people that can’t attend at all this year and really want to keep their seats? I don’t know but something needs to be done or said.
I’ve normally been on the “people can do what they want” with their tickets side but there does come a point where allowing this is detrimental to the long term health of the fan/donor/alumni base.
It would be nice if instead of going to Rams Club priority after season ticket holders they went to Diamond Heels Club members at a certain level of giving, say $500. Probably aren't enough of those that aren't already season ticket holders, but I would up my Diamond Heels giving if that was the system. Will never happen but one can dream.
Season ticket prices for sections 103 and 114-115 were $245/ea, so a pair would be just under $500. Something to think about.
What sucks is that people buy season tickets with sole purpose to make money on postseason. I’d get season tickets for sole purposes of attending postseason.

Fair point, I didn't purchase since I couldn't make a ton of games and got in for free as a grad student anyway, but I'll just have to do that in the future
Somebody needs to come up with a way to sell at market prices but offer only to Carolina fans. IC's policy contributes to the problem, but I imagine there's a legal reason they have it.

Wait what? If anything IC helps prevent tickets being sold to visiting fans and they are supposed to only be sold at FV. Not sure what you are talking about.
Well, it prohibits selling at market prices, so people who want to sell at market prices have nowhere to go other than sites that are open to the general public, which is how opponent fans get them. So no not literally part of the problem, but they pass on an opportunity to be the solution. Unless legally forced to, which I assume must be the case.

I don’t think it contributes to it. Personal anecdote. I sold a couple football tickets on there. I had 4 seats and sold 2. I asked the people when we got there and they bought them at inflated price on Seat Geek, so, somebody bought my tickets at Face and I threw in the parking pass for free and then that person turned around and flexed on the secondary market, so, I’d say just bc you sell on IC don’t mean you’re selling to a Tar Heel fan or non scalper
