I’m very surprised by the meltdown some people are having over Dart introducing 45/47. Very strange.
What's happening is politics is infecting everything .
Now players like Dart are being criticized for what some consider a political move , others might feel he has every right to support anyone he wishes.

The fact is he does have the right to support anyone he wants to just like other athletes have the right to speak out against Trump and not have spurts fans get upset at them.
The only thing us fans should be bitching/praising is their play not their politics unless they run for office.
I'm not a Giant fan, stepped during Andy Robustelli's tenure as GM.
But that was because how the Giants sucked and have left the NYC area, not because of anyone on the team, owner to ground keeper's politics.

I got enough positions to dislike, no reason to add football . basketball or baseball players just because they don't have the same political agenda as me.
Those that do, I suggest get a life away from the political scenery and enjoy your favorite sports teams and players.

I supported Colin Kaepernik , especially after I found out he consulted with with Nate Boyer, a former Green Beret and NFL player, before taking the action that cause many to hate him because of the way he stood up for what he believed .
So I'll support Jason's right to be aligned with a politician I have little use for and not hate him or the team he plays for because of it.
But I reserve the right to dislike the Dallas Cowboys because of Jerry Jones, not for political reasons but because I think he's an ******* by nature

I got to say, you have got to be the first and only person or family I know or ever heard of who choose their teams to root for by the starting quarterback's political affiliation? Democrat, yay we're going to the Superbowl, Republican, I hope they burn in hell. I've heard colors, mascots, birthplace all types of weird sh*t, but never this.
Have seen so much nonsense today from the folks who purportedly belong to the party of tolerance and inclusion, being intolerant and excluding those that don't have the same opinion as they do.

LT and Otis Armstrong were on stage for Trump at his NJ rally and they had fun.

LT, Springsteen, Kid Rock, Bruce Jenner, Bon Jovi, Lebron - I dont care too much about their politics as long as they aren't pushing violence.

goes for both parties, might even include every party involved in politics.
The hate is strong and those with opposite views tend to claim the other is the hater.
When Reagan was president "Tip" O'Neill was his main adversary, but outside of politics they were friends that arged about Reagan's Cubbies and Tip's Red Sox while enjoying their friendship .
Today even the rank and file have a hard time accepting the other side of fence as human and claim all the garbage starts there..

You've actually got it a little wrong. I don't choose a team by the player's political position. About 65 years ago, when I was a young kid I started rooting for teams.... the local teams. And there were only four of them at the time. The Yankees, the Knicks, the Giants, and the Rangers. And, of course, the college team right up the road from where I lived in South River...Rutgers. I've never dumped any of them for any reason.
But, these are unique times and the current evil is so uniquely bad that it may cause me to change something after all these years. Cheetolini and what he is doing to this country is THAT bad. IMO.
And my opinion of those that support him is just about as low.

Thanks, but it matters to me if my team's quarterback is an a**hole. I don't really root for a head coach. Besides, I know what most of them are, so my expectations for the current one are low.
And btw I must have married well ( yeah, I already knew that) 'cause my wife stopped being a Jets fan when they gave the quarterback job to that a**hole Rodgers. She's back now that he moved elsewhere.
grow a set

do you know that more than half players and coaches have one political view you disagree with..who cares. he introduced the president and you are sad

Was referring to the so called party of inclusion and tolerance. That was the point. Irony is ironic.

No one would mistake the other party as one of inclusion or tolerance. They have a completely diferent set of problems and hypocrisy.

Wait until she finds out who the Jets owner supports

Can you elaborate on this evil you speak of?

No. I can't.
You must not have read this entire thread. In an earlier post I explained why I must limit what I say about said evil. I have learned the hard way that getting into it here will only result in the thread being locked or being deleted or me being banned from this site. So I've learned to try extra hard to be careful about what I post here.
Besides, if you don't know what I'm referring to as evil then I don't think there's much hope for you. Where you been ?

That news was very disturbing for me. Causing me to re-think how much of a fan I can be of Dart.
Sad.

WOW Rams trading for Myles Garrett.
a surprise, but he might have told them (quietly) he wanted out and the deal might be good for both teams.
Browns getting a promising DE and 3 good draft choices and Rams getting a D player that will help their 2026 season Super Bowl ambitions.

And Juju Smith Shuster too today. 3 WR's in one day! I have a feeling Nabers knee is way worse then we think it is.
Was playing dodgeball and softball the other day. Which I thought was a good sign.

i don’t see how there is room for all these guys.

maybe Slayton is out of here somehow?

OJB signed, no let's see if he has anything left in the tank .
JuJu Smith-Schuster. signing on might mean more .
As a backup at KC in 2025 ( google search said)he had 33 receptions for 345 yards (10.5 yards per catch) and 1 touchdown.
Beckham sat last year out and according to google:
>2024 NFL regular season, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (OBJ) played for the Miami Dolphins. He appeared in 9 games, recording 9 receptions on 18 targets for 55 receiving yards, averaging 6.1 yards per catch, and scoring zero touchdowns<

JuJu at 29 is 4 years younger then OBJ.

He had another surgery a few weeks ago & doesn't look good.

I have a feeling he will be headed to the PUP list. That puts him out the first 6 weeks. One bad thing about that is he can't practice with the team. We will know more once actual camp starts in July. I saw another video of him a few weeks ago he seemed to be limping just walking.

He also got suspended 6 games for PED's last year. He failed a test in Miami

They all won't make the team. Could be Slayton but they are paying him a lot. Every time they count him out he usually has one of his better seasons

If he were to be moved out, it likely wouldn't be a cut. A trade if anything, which also seems unlikely.

Would love to see a rebound season for NY.
