It won't matter for about 3 more years . Anyone who was on roster April 7 2025 will never count. Guys who enrolled last August count and everyone who enrolls after them will count. So 30 won't be a problem for awhile

I do not think that is right. Only athletes who would have lost their spot due to the new roster limits would be Designated Student Athletes, who do not count. The other 30 athletes on the roster at that point will always count. So if a team has 30 underclassmen on April 7, 2025 who do not have the DSA, and all 30 returned for the next season, then they could only exceed the limit by bringing in (or returning) wrestlers who are DSAs, or by cutting one or more of the returning non-DSA athletes.

So, to bring in new recruits there may still need to be cuts if too many non-DSA athletes are on the roster.

Every team had to make a list of their DSAs, but as far as I am aware those lists are not public.

That would make way more sense I had it explained to me but never read it myself. I just looked into it and it's like you said

This is from the post: "they must be designsted(sic) by the school they competed for that season as a DSA (deadline passed). To qualify they must also have been someone who was going to be cut or had a scholarship pulled due to roster cuts."

My question is/was; was anyone on our team so designated?

I only count 27 on the 25-26 roster, so it would seem that none were DSA
