Actually feel confident about this one. Pope may finally pull a rabbit out of his hat. Don't know where that'd put us in the preseason rankings but with all the talk about Louisville here the last month or so it'd be hilarious if they were 13th or 14th and us right behind them. The narrative here has felt like Louisville should be top 5 and we'll be lucky to win 16 games.

Truth be told I’m kind of done with Pope. So if we get Milan and go to the sweet 16/elite 8 that means Pope gets more years. However, if Pope takes that squad to the final 4/championship I’m content with giving him more time. Dude just has to get better recruiting.
Nah.......

Everyone has sources. No one names sources. We forget when the sources were wrong. We act like the guy is in-the-know when the source is close or right. If Monday comes and no announcement, then there will be a new source to explain why a little more time is needed.

The more I think about this the less I like it. When one player is making more than twice what any other player is getting it is a formula for team dissatisfaction and locker room issues. I really do not think any player at the college level is worth what he is getting much less a second round draft pick. The college game is in big trouble because only around 10-15 teams can afford to field a competitive team at this point. It will become like MLB which is likely going to have a vacated season next year because of similar issues. I say let him go to Louisville and watch them implode.

Yeah. When I made a million and Elon made a billion, I was pissed. Can’t work with that guy.

Good thing for almost every guy on the team is that if the 5-in-5 rules passes and they have a great year, the NBA or a big fat college check will come their way, too.

To decide where he wants to go. Does he go to UK for the money or does he take less to go to a school that would have a shot at a National title?
You have guaranteed yourself to be pissy and upset whether he comes or goes. That is fine until we all have to read about it over and over again. Have a new thought. Please.

They are making beads arts and crafts to sell to raise funds
Maybe true. When people sell houses, they will sometimes open the house for a few days and will keep the offer windows open until the end so they have a bunch of people wondering if they need to go higher before anyone ever acknowledges their offer. When you say you’re taking a few days to decide, you give the bidder time to ruminate and ask themselves whether they have a little more to throw onto the table. If you want the true last best and final offer, it’s one way to attempt to get at that amount.

I’ll be at my daughter’s high school graduation and festivities most of the day. Hopefully he commits and signs while I’m busy. I’m hoping to check in later and see that as the top story! LFG Pope pull this one out.
I'll be busy helping Rich Brooks in his tomato garden. I'll probably check back on Monday afternoon to see what's up. If anything.
