Is the Broccoli Guy an Oregon fan who is cosplaying as one of ours because he's getting attention, or just a random guy who lives in Eugene?
Texas just pokes a bat out and the ball flies to the fence. Or over it.

We have not hit like the teams have, but I am glad we finally made it.
Not even a. Oregon fan. Just a guy that lives in Washington who got in espn doing this with potatoes at the Idaho Potato Bowl. Devices he liked the attention so switched to broccoli & went to our games because they were close & on ESPN.
Glad we made it as well but it would be nice to at least score a run while we are there.
We aren’t close, talent wise, to the two teams we have played so far. Not knocking our ladies… it’s just truth.
Texas has an ELITE first class pitcher. We are using the best the sun belt has to offer. Power up and down their lineup.

Broccoli guy is a west coast guy who fell in love with softball by accident. He then fell in love with MSU and said he’s with this team until the end. Cool story on ESPN if anyone interested.
Every time we hit a line drive, it's right at someone... It's one of those nights.
We are the only unseeded team in the WCWS, so it’s not a surprise we are going 0-2. It’s a huge accomplishment just to even make it, especially beating a national power and one of the favorites to win the natty at their place in the supers. But we are clearly outmatched talent wise by the other teams. I’m just happy that this game is pretty competitive after they got run ruled yesterday.

The only thing that gives me hope is that we can now see firsthand what it takes to make it here. It was nice to make it.
Peja Goold was really poor in the postseason. Didn’t pitch well at all. She had a really good regular season but it looks like she hit a wall late in the year.
1 of inly 2 teams outside the top 8 seeds. And the other one is #4 in the polls & has the best pitcher in the country. It’s a huge win just to be there, but we’re in a little above our heads right now. Looking at Ricketts record, it trends a little better each year. If we can keep her the future looks good.
Faircloth as well. I thought those two would be the reason we had a chance to make some noise. Neither were effective at all. Not trying to make excuses for them but they are facing extremely good hitters that pick up on them easy.
Very proud of the softball team. Every year, we get a little bit better; the future looks bright.

Heck of a run. The most fun I’ve had watching MSU sports in YEARS. Excited for the future of this program.
They just lost to two of the top pitchers in college softball. Including the best one, and the one who was pitching MVP of the WCWS last year.
How is he any different than any Joe blow fan that started watching our softball team 2 weeks ago?
Hard to even talk about the pitching when you play 2 games and don't score even 1 run. Has there ever been a team make it to the WCWS and not score at all while there? That's pretty bad.
I'm not gonna look it up, but I'm thinking there have been multiple teams that have left the WCWS scoreless. Pitching used to completely dominate the game.
We played pretty well today. Just couldn't find any luck offensively against a great pitcher.
Hopefully Ricketts can capitalize and strengthen the talent level on offense.
Except that all of us TV viewers had to endure Beth Mowins, at least until the mute button was quickly located.
