Dace was a fave of mine. Met his parents and bumped into them again at a number of games. Great family.Hoping he has a final year like Dace Richardson did. Seemed like Dace's career was over but he got healthy enough to play some good ball his last year.
IIRC, after playing quite well Dace got hurt again and missed the last few games. Hopefully Mike plays well and makes it through the entire season.Hoping he has a final year like Dace Richardson did. Seemed like Dace's career was over but he got healthy enough to play some good ball his last year.
Drew Ott, for example. Myslinski having a good healthy season would really help the line, offense and team.Great to see one of our players not get screwed out of eligibility for once. Maybe the NCAA felt like we deserved a freebie considering how much they screw us over?
You must have missed the fact that they weren't comparing them physically. They were comparing their injury situation. Keep trying though.Dace was a monster, physically. Myslinski is short and undersized. Apples and oranges.
No, they were comparing Dace’s comeback from injury to a possible Myslinski comeback from injury. You must have missed the fact that they weren't comparing them physically. They were comparing their injury situation. Keep trying though.
A successful comeback for Myslinski would be a good thing. No, they were comparing Dace’s comeback from injury to a possible Myslinski comeback from injury.
And like I said, Dace could make that kind of comeback because he was a monster and a freak athlete. Myslinski isn’t any of that which makes his comeback from injury a longshot, at best.
Thank you for confirming my statement that they weren't comparing them physically they were comparing their injury situation. And I think Myslinski's comeback is not a long shot, he is in the OL mix. And it was hard to watch, but when Richardson came back he ended up getting hurt again. What he could have been had he stayed completely healthy we can only imagine. Let's hope all the Hawks stay injury free this year. No, they were comparing Dace’s comeback from injury to a possible Myslinski comeback from injury.

I think what happened was they are banking on him not contributing in any meaningful way next year, so they figured, "hey why not. He's not gonna help Iowa win games, so give him an extra year."Great to see one of our players not get screwed out of eligibility for once. It seems like that's how it it has been and is, regardless of the sport. Sad!I think what happened was they are banking on him not contributing in any meaningful way next year, so they figured, "hey why not. He's not gonna help Iowa win games, so give him an extra year."
If he actually was expected to be a huge piece to our potential success, they would've strung this out several more weeks and then ultimately said, "LOL no."
That's how they roll.
