I honestly find it a little strange that we got Lipscomb and Southern got Little Rock.

You'd think that the higher seed would have gotten the weaker 4 seed, especially considering that we had already faced Lipscomb.

Southern caught some good teams at the beginning of the season when everyone is trying to get going and figure things out. Thats a big reason they were able to get their RPI up. Once they hit the sunbelt, they were able to keep winning but they weren’t dominating like a national 9 seed should in that conference. I think they are a top 20 team, definitely not top 10.

As I said earlier this week, don’t put too much stock into early midweek games. Sunbelt is a mediocre conference & they never faced the #2 team in their conference.

Right after we played away tournament on Texas. We also 10 run ruled them later in the year.

Exactly my thought. We played #1 then go to shitsburg for a game. Whoever made this schedule needs to rethink their life choices.

Usually?? Our RPI doesn't need help playing in a real conference. They need us waaay more than we need them in any sport! Go back on your walk about Aussie.

I don't want more mid week SWAC games because I put the mustard buzzards on the same level. Bring them cold weather schools down here and throat punch em all!

This all day. They are a paper tiger, and I’m tired of them being given the benefit of the doubt and continuing to host. They have **** the bed as a host over and over. Now, I hope we don’t **** the bed now lol.

I'll never understand the vitriol Southern evokes from so many here. They are generally an afterthought, and considering it's a bunch of Mississippians, I just can't generate much ill will.

I got bigger ill fish to fry in Oxford.

I defended their high seeding too much, but the truth is that was NCAA window dressing. They got a much tougher regional field than we did, even with a 9 vs our 14 seed.
