Auburn down 4-0 after the top of the 1st.
Nope - Auburn is throwing their ace. Yikes! This is against the 2nd worst (RPI-based) team in the field. They are 238, the worst team is 239, I think. They are 6 games under .500 too. Can't imagine this holds, but DANG!

Milwaukee's record is 25-31. Surely Auburn won't lose against these guys, but the longer Milwaukee stays in the lead, the more Auburn will tighten up.

Auburn's ace can't get an out in the second inning, replaced. What a complete choke job from that guy. Gets pounded by freaking Milwaukee. Eight hits and six earned runs in 1 plus innings.

every batter in the Milwaukee's Beast lineup has a hit, and all but 3 have score a run. The Barners are hitless.

Yep, that's the rub. Even if they win, they're already in a bad spot. Ace is spent (may come back Sunday?), and Cormier is going to get spent against the 4 seed. Another pen arm is going to have to pitch some too.
I think today’s starter would probably come back Monday. Only threw 28 pitches (man they must have really been hitting him hard). But how comfortable are you bringing a guy back on 2 days rest who just got hit that hard by maybe the worst team in the tournament?
